short term i don't mind Martial starting. he has been scoring and looking good. i think he will start the first few at least. i don't get the vibe ten Hag will just throw CR7 right back in even with the instagram training. he seems like he will actually stand by his reward those in form policy
Saw this on Twitter and is accurate… United are two signings away from being good and two injuries away from being fooked.
Some photos coming out suggesting Ronaldo left the stadium before the game ended today. Not a good look. It’s stuff like this that will cause disrepair in the squad. Can’t have players going against the manager like this.
Cristiano Ronaldo and other #mufc players in the director's box left the match early which was sanctioned by Ten Hag, reportedly to beat the traffic and crowds.— The United Stand (@UnitedStandMUFC) July 31, 2022
Mistake by ETH then. He’s gotta know the optics of that and how it will be taken with the uncertainty around Ronaldo.
Not just Ronaldo, but these guys are paid obscene amounts of money and they can’t stay to support the kids in the squad till the end? Poor form.
I would dearly love for him to do a tell-all interview and just lay bare the entire club disfunction from ownership to the players.
at the very least state his position and why. most likely he can't or won't but either way don't blame him for wanting out. we'll see what happens in two weeks
Ronnie needs to speak up or shut the ******** up and get to work. I’m so sick of all our players. Enough of this “truth will come out” bullshit.
Goals are a product of the team. Ronnie's style of play does not work in ours but we make him fit. A player that links up the attack and presses better can be as productive.
goals are an issue regardless of whether he stays or goes. as for the two weeks, that only coincides with the closing of the window as far i can tell. nothing else significant seems to line up
Mendes is trying to get Bayern to sign Cristiano by offering him to Dortmund. Do they take everyone for chumps?
I don't believe half of what's out there about him right now. Regardless, his lack of self-awareness (which has always been his biggest weakness) is biting him hard right now. The only leverage he may have here is if he significantly lowers his wage demands, which would make him more attractive to smaller CL clubs. However, it's clear that he is refusing to do this. The selfishness is off the charts. I don't care where he goes, I just know that I don't want him here.
We discuss this all the time. Why is it when a player does what's best for himself, their career, and their family is it deemed selfish? Particularly when we don't know what the club promised him when he signed on?
I got raise my hand and say I was probably too harsh on him. Given whats happened since the news first came out that he wanted to leave and what we know now about how much of a shitshow we still are, I cant blame him. My original thinking was he was pulling one over on the club waiting until last minute to ask for a release. But seeing how things have played out, theres a decent chance he was promised a lot of things with regards to letting him leave if we miss out on CL or bringing in a lot of top tier players similar to what Im sure ETH was promised. Given our current state, I dont blame a single player, legend or not, for wanting out. Nobody should want to play for United until a lot of things change.
better yet, why would you want to end one of the most glittering club careers of all time waiting on Maguire and co to let you down on a weekly basis and regularly collecting 4's from mid to lower table sides? why wouldn't you want to go out at the top? or at least try to? would the folks upset with him do the same? or stay at a shit workplace until retirement?
