So much are we paying him ? Looks like 480k/week quoted early were false.

Reduced wages make it slightly more palatable from a football/recruitment/financial perspective.

From a team and personnel standpoint, this is problematic. But, for those worrying about the wages, thats nothing. The stock bump and merchandise spike from him joining will cover it.

The real worry should be if this limits us from getting a 6 this summer (which might not have happened anyway) and does this take us out of the Haaland running next summer. As far as this crowding our front line, who gives a shit. If Martial or Cavani want minutes, they gotta beat out Ronaldo. Im always fine with competition.

    - that he was willing to join City takes the shine off
    - CM / RB priorities now less likely to happen, DCM especially - wtf is this team structure …
    - wont help with Haaland for a number of reasons
    - not part of a transfer strategy
    - will limit Sancho / Greenwood time
    - may upset squad (wages / playing time)
    - mobility / workrate in EPL

    + its Ronaldo
+ should gives players a lift
+ can be a role model in terms of training and fitness

I'm super stoked about this signing! What a turn of events! Anything but Citeh!

I would have loved to have him come back to Madrid but Manchester is my 2nd favourite team to follow. He will have the support and team around him to be more successful than Juve in my opinion.

Juve was just looking like a train wreck.

Pogba, Bruno, Matic, Sancho, Rashford & Ronaldo. That can be deadly... Congrats guys!

Question is now... When would he be able to start playing for United and WHAT NUMBER would he be taking? Would Cavani be able to give his number away to Ronaldo? It only makes sense.

Seems like he's earmarked to make his debut on 9/11 vs Newcastle.

As far as the number 7 is concerned, see a few posts up: apparently, only a special dispensation from the league would allow him to get #7. We'll see, I guess...

Thanks man! It would be kinda odd seeing him with any other number but the "7" . If he has no choice, maybe he'd pick his old number at Sporting; 28.

Will never, ever get people who do something like that (except if extreme and out of the ordinary) circumstances are involved, but this guy is left a bit red faced today...

Apart from still being a top, top finisher, this is the side of him that clearly makes his return appealing. This is not a guy who will be satisfied with mediocrity, another big figure/personality in the dressing room, who should push the group as a whole to greater heights.
Ole just needs to make sure he uses him the right way, reflective of the player he is today.

Guy on the United Stand said the same thing. Puts a lot of pressure on Ole and the Glazers.

The way we have seen Sancho and Varane handled, I will say mid-season if we're lucky

Rio has honestly been hilarious thru this thing! And/or how he did his part, as small as it might have been.

Love seeing City (and rival fans in general) completely in the mud over this. Especially City fans who thought they were going to banter United fans forever over this.

Always a sour mouth, He had the audacity to say imagine VVD against ronaldo while Ronaldo has done that consistently against top teams of europe.
