Well, I intend to start documenting the inmense amount of BS that this SOB keeps throwing at Boca. And of course disecting to pieces his theory and/or excuses. Would really like to hear your impressions. In the past few weeks, La Volpe has expressed that he will talk at some point in the future about things inside Boca ... insinuating that the players lost the title last semester on purpose, to get rid of him. Yesterday he went ahead and gave a 50' press conference. He talked about Sessa, but most importantly, he ranted about Boca once again. About the refs ... and about the AFA. Will focus on the Boca part, excluding for now the part that talks about the game itself. We all know he will never admit his errors and instead focus on blaming the results in everyone and everything else ... including his players. First, he cries about the press, referring to Clarin/Ole and to Pagani, that they blame him for Boca's debacle last semester. He insists that the team he received had lost Insua, Bilos and Abbondanzieri. That the players he had to replace them were Neri and Marino, who hadn't played. Lets start here. Yes, Boca had sold Insua, Bilos and Pato. But brought to the team Bobadilla ... another WC goalie. That team he disrespects, was playing under Basile, winning the first 5 games of the tournament, including San Lorenzo (7), Independiente and Estudiantes. And had beaten Sao Paulo at home and tied away to win the Recopa. Neri had been playing for the past 3 years as a sub ... waiting for his time. Today, he is in the NT. And Marino was Newell's jewel in their title. And was performing quite well under Sir Coco in those first 2 months. Roman has declared a few days back that the player with the most quality in the team is Marino. Roman knows a bit of football, doesn't he? The rest of the team was the same: Ibarra- Silvestre - Cata - Krupo - Gago - Battaglia/Ledesma - Palacio -Palermo. A team with high moral and playing some great team football. He cried yesterday that if last semester's team was so good, what was the need to bring 6 players, including Roman. Lets start by correcting him. Boca brought 5 players this semester, one of them (Clemente) to replace the injured (and NT candidate) Krupoviesa. This loser considers Banega a signing. So from the go, his #s are plain wrong. Not to add that Orteman, Marioni and Clemente are subs. So the real additions to the first team are Caranta and Roman. Many can argue about Caranta and Bobadilla being pretty close in quality. I agree with those. Perhaps Caranta has proven to have more personality than Aldo. So we come back to Roman. Obviously, Boca needed to bring quality to the team, playing the Libertadores, and having lost the quality of GAGO in the middle. This MOFO questions if Boca is Riquelme or Riquelme is Boca in this semester's team. Slashing once again the qualities of the rest ... 5 of which are part of the NT and one of them is still injured. To many, myself included, Roman is a player from a different planet. Like Zidane was until not too long ago. It is clear that his addition would jump the quality of football Boca plays ... just as if it would happen if he played for Real Madrid, Milan or Arsenal. Playing in the only position he can play ... enganche. Not as Van Gaal wanted to use him at Barza. Nor the way La Volpe would ever use him ... with his lack of understanding of the role of the enganche. I'm astonished at how much this MOFO talks about Boca, be it he is facing us or not. I know that the "Boca World" absorbs and scars most people for life. This doesn't mean that this uneducated SOB has the right to talk and talk and trash the squad of one of the biggest clubs in the world. If he does ... what is left for the rest of the Argentine league? Will continue. .
What an asshole. So, what he's now saying is that Boca was not good last season? He should check the record they had under Basile, before he came and ********ed it up. This guy will screw up and he will not accept blame. His actions are now beyond pathetic and fortunately he has now been exposed for everyone to see. He should retire and enjoy all the money he managed to scam from those naive decision makers who somehow bought his previous excuses.
Not to mention all the abuse he gave to the players. I remember reading something in Ole that had quotes of some harsh stuff he said. Do you have that vip?
it goes to show you that some people dont change with time. however he has part of his brain which knows alot about football, its too bad that the rest ruins him.
I object many of his more known football tactics, not to say most. Just to give you an idea, Boca starts the play from the back a lot more often, clean and without risk, when we have 4 back defenders ... both Ibarra and Morel/Clemente are always options, adding to Banega. With his line of 3, with Silvestre open on the right and Ibarra giving his back and having a midfielder close on him, we always got problems. This is just to throw one of his "most emphasized" ways of playing. I think the performance of Boca AND Velez are there to demonstrate that his "verso" is full of BS. He doesn't maximize the characteristics of his players ... rather uses players to fit his "playstation" football. Where he tells every player where to be, what to do and when to do it. Anyways ... if you didn't hear La Volpe's press conference yesterday, you can d/l it here .
As much as I hated LaVolpe and it was a positive thing that he left, this part that I selected from above could actually be true. And if it is, it wouldn't surprise me. I heard that is why Silvestre had been reduced to nothing this semester until he was finally put in after all the injuries. He apparently refused to go 'para atras' against Estudiantes, which was why somehow Cahais started the game Also said that Palacio was forced by some of the senior players to play injured since they knew he wouldn't be effective.
You heard so? Where? Print? Radio? TV? Sources my friend. The street talks too much because there is too much time on their hands. Fact is that La Volpe did not like Silvestre because he was too slow for his back 3. Plus Silvestre was injured a few weeks prior ... when he fuct his foot. As to Cahais. He used him against Belgrano. And as always, place the "unexpected player" ... to surprise. He did so with Mexico against Argentina. He did it all along Boca's campaign. This is undoubtedly the tactic of the "small team". When you are the team taking the initiative because of capabilities and/or history, formations are a lot more 'conservative". You are not going to win by surprising but because of quality. La Volpe is a SMALL TEAM coach. The reality is that La Volpe's message and manners simply confuses and irritates players. Hence lowering their capabilities. Poor Datolo and Pappa. And this trickles down thru the rest of the squad. Zero motivation ... mostly denigration. The antithesis of Diego Simeone's character and message. In Mexico, he pulled this because he could use his "I'm an Argentine world champ" rhetoric. The self-esteem of Mexican players regarding this is very different from the Argentine player. The ones who clashed with him for his manners simply were pulled out ... Blanco among them. There are some aspects of psychology that need to be addressed here too. Just analyze La Volpe's Feng Shui and "red color for protection against evil" beliefs. I have nothing against people who believe in this. But his personality denotes a very confused head and a soul not in peace. Non of his actions and words denote a man in equilibrium. Nor his need to express all these personal beliefs. He needs to justify himself constantly. Because he is slave of his words and systems. He is BAD KARMA indeed. And his players realize it after a few days. And this can only be bad for the team. And fans. .
Still bitter about not getting your first tri-campeonato? Why would you even waste your time talking about someone you hate? Shyt I hate Aguilar and I can't wait for him to leave but at the same time I dont even want to even see him in figurita ! I still think this kat will be leaving Velez soon unless they pull of a miracle next week vs boca.Heard he got an offer from Mexico and being the way he is,he might just bail out or even get fired. I remember a couple of weeks ago when Velez lost their first game under Lavolpe,he came out telling the media that,"los jugadores se quieren salvar." I dont know what he meant by that but the follwoing day the players responded to his critics in public.Something you dont do especially when you're the new head coach and after your first lost as being the DT.
That is one of his problems. He thinks he can motivate his players by trashing them, and instead he loses their respect. I caught a moment at this week's Boca-Velez game, when Lavolpe was saying something to Moreno y Fabianesi, and Ivan looked at him and made a hand gesture like, 'what the ******** do I care what you say?' Did anybody else see that? He obviously lost the players at Velez, just as he did at Boca. And I think he's also done in Mexico. Acording to this article, he doesn't want to go back: http://www.mediotiempo.com/noticia.php?id_noticia=38028
I had some respect towards this guy awhile ago for what he has done with Mexico in the WC and for the coaching career he has had before but then again I didn't know him that well or like the way he is now, I guess these are his true colors. He thows his players under the bus and thats a big no-no. In where you should stand by them and give them support. I guess after that time he came out say that que se quieren salvar comment, the players were bothered from it and it was never the same.I think he's done and also don't think any team in the country would want to hire him after seeing him doom 2 teams in a row even though IMO it is a bit harsh to blame everything on him alone for boca not winning their 3rd straight title. But we all know how it goes. Like you said he lost the players in Velez and theres no turning back and to top things off making Sessa the team captain after all the shyt this guys has done in the past month, showing you he doesnt have enough balls to not make him captain or even erase him from the team.
This is all about what was said about Boca 3 days ago. Going thru the points brought up that keep hammering on Boca. It is an answer to his words. The mofo is no longer coach at Boca, yet he keeps bringing Boca up 5 months later! Hence the cancer of the title. I dislike the guy, not hate him. And coming back to the loss of the tri ... BELIIIIIIEVE ME, I'd rather see us lose the local tri than have La Volpe destroy the squad, the youth systems, and start bringing robots into the squad while letting good players leave. For tris we have the tri world champs record. PS: Heard that the River game against Independiente could be suspended because of the destruction of the field after the car race? Or is it that you guys wanna have something to play on Wednesdays? .
Ok ... last nite once again we have this clown talking about Boca and his players. The clown was invited to "La Ultima Palabra" with Niembro. And went ahead to cry about how some of the things that were discussed with the players would end up filtered in the press. And said that Boca players had "no ethics and were alcahuetes". The whore talking about ethics. A DT that ridiculizes his players, as if he owns them. That publicly makes faces of disgust when a player/s don't follow his playstation football. That calls his present players a team with "no men". This clown wasn't man enuff to say so while coaching Boca. Yet, he is a man now to refer to them. The cancer is alive ... .
the guy has smome small moments of briliance. however what is up with balvorin and zarate doing shit in the tournie then they face us and they become they're old selfs.
i understand the frustation and hatred some have towards him but seriously who the fu[k cares?? He's no longer at boca, and whatever he says from now on I couldn't care less about. Everything he says is just going to fuel Boca to destroy his team even more (as if we didn't beat them bad enough the firs ttwo games). Like the song says: Boca mi buen amigo Esta campana volvere estar contigo te alentaremos de corazon esta es tu hinchada que te quiere ver campeon no me importa lo que digan lo que digan los de mas yo te sigo a todas partes cada vez te quiero mas
Seriously, especially after four months that he left Boca, he is finaly starting to do well for you guys, pone a Sessa, saca a Zarate, critica a sus jugadores, le gana al Ciclon... que mas quieren.
The press in Argentina love La Volpe. Because he speaks his mind ... this gives headlines and sells papers and increases ratings. Even if few agree with him. But ... to NOT confront him, with the exception of Pagani, makes no sense. This afternoon he was invited to 90 Minutos and he ranted the same BS all over again. He went further to say his Velez players were not intelligent. What a loser. And of course ... he had to talk all over again of Boca. That Boca brought Riquelme + 6 players ... yada yaada yada. And analyze this team which is not his. No ethics whatsoever. .
What did he ever do with Mexico? ...the same thing he has done with every team he has coached, screw them up and over. I just find it amazing how one man can destroy whole institutions, he indeed IS a cancer. I hope teams reconsider when thinking about hiring this guy. Although he has already said he won't be coming to Mexico to coach, my gut tells me he'll be back in no time.
I think he did what he could with mexico, he did train them for four months, this following a similar philosophy that Bilardo put in practice prior to winning mexico 86. They really didn't play bad against argentina in 2006, the problem is that like all little teams, they tend to play their arse off against more famous teams like argentina but against lesser teams such as portugal they don't play with as much intensity and they stupidly lose. This explains why mexico can put up a fight with brasil and a week later can loose 4-0 to bulgaria. Lavolpe says what he thinks, there is no bullshit with him, but I guess some people can't handle his truth. Personally I think he facked up boca juniors and was correct in resigning but it's always really up to the players to score the goals and do the plays. I also think that Lavolpe is paid too much considering he never did anything of importance, but that's mexico for you, a lot of money and no cups. Maybe you need to reduce their salaries or tell your players that if they don't wear their balls to the game there is no salary. You guys spoiled your players. Lavolpe is also correct in calling the mexican media "stupids" , that's what they really are, they don't have a clue about soccer, too many siestas. Yesterday I watched foxsports en espanol and they talked about the boca game, the imbecile reporter ruben espejel commented that boca scored a goal when in reality it didn't count because of a mistake by the linesman. Ruben obviously didn't watch the game so he didn't know, you see, these are the kinds of people that work in the press in mexico, almost all of them are incompetent and lazy.
but they did score a goal right after the first goal was wrongly called offside. i think mexican press is one step lower in soccer than argentine but we arent that high up there, some of our questions are ridiculous and there isnt one show that isn't biased, and paso a paso and libero have the 2 worst most uncharismatic people on earth, that never argue they always agree. i think a show like pti (pardon the interuptrion should be there.) also lavolpe speaks his mind and make mistakes but he does have a negative attitude towards his players and that is a big no-no for any of us;
yeah our press is also biased, no doubt and they can be sensationalist with the maradona affair for example but notice that not every time argentina wins they are happy and they don't predict the results of games. If argentina wins playing bad they say it and don't have a problem saying it, mexico on the other hand if they beat Barbados and the Bahamas they are excellent, according to their press, than when they play argentina and loose the press gets all pissed so inmediately to get their idiots back onboard they go play Jack Sparrow's and his team of wooden leg pirates so again they win 5-0 and they are best in the world. The mexican press can't control themselves, I remember in the libertadores earlier round when there were three mexican teams playing the next day, a program called "palabra de deporte" all three reporters predicted that all three mexican teams where going to win and not just win, they were going to whip everyone's arse including boca juniors, all this based on the fact that their teams won their home games and guess what....all three mexican teams lost!!they got beaten the crap out of. How the hell can they be so stupid as to predict in front of a camera in front of millions of people the result of a game and miss, that's like saying "I got it all wrong, I'm stupid and I don't know what I'm talking about". Also when they are narrating a game they don't have a clue and make some really stupid comments like "the ball is outside because it crossed the line" or they inmediately start blaming the ref and conmebol every time they loose....yesterday Boca was basically robbed by the linesman, he didn't validate a totally valid goal for boca, but Niembro pointed it out but made clear that it was a mistake and didn't sit for an hour to condemm Conmebol like the mexicans do, on the contrary he said that the actual ref of the game did a good job but that simply the linesman made a mistake. If this would have happened to a mexican team they would be talking of conspiracies. The argentina press on the other hand, today are saying that boca didn't play very well yesterday and don't spend time and energy on the ref. Also these days they are blaming argentineans for their fans causing problems in their stadiums, as if they cannot think on their own or are not mature enough to take responsabillity for their own screw ups and guess who fuels that? their press.
News: Una salida anunciada Era insostenible. More...
El día que no tenga ganas de ir a un entrenamiento, dejo”. he isnt a cancer los corruptos de afa are a cancer. he is a very classy guy with problems like all of us, he has dignity and honor something argentinean football doesnt have. the problem is that velez thinks they are one of the five grandes when in fact they should lower they're expectations.
