I don't think I'm fully recovered yet, and I'm not quite 100% pain-free, but I stepped back on the pitch last night for the first time, and the knee withstood it. I was playing for my sister's Co-Rec team because I went to visit her yesterday and she and her teammates asked me to join them since they only had 10 players at game time (another player showed up later, thankfully). Many of my sister's teammates were my teammates on the Spring intramural team. I hadn't seen them since, so they were kind of surprised to see my knee in a brace and learn of my injury. It was a tight game, scoreless through the first half. I had some nice chances, and a couple of shots, but wasn't able to finish. Nevertheless, we won 2-0. The knee feels good, but all that running was quite a shock to the legs after about 2 months of inactivity. That and Co-Rec's full-sized field and 45 minute halves are vastly different than the intramural tiny field and 20 minute halves. Between the soccer game and the arm workout from the caoneing on the beautiful Lake Washington, I'm just sore all over. I've missed that feeling.
