my issue with Klopp is this DFB disease called why is there so much obsession with hiring name coaches.....we've had 2 back to back names coaches who flopped back to back because at end of day they were both CLOWNS who kept tinkering with lineups and could never settle down properly. Funny since Tuchel did same thing with Pengland, 3 German name coaches with 3 out of 3 playing around even during tourneys, LOL.

we really need a coach who takes us back to the basics, I hope Klopp is that guy. Good thing about Klopp is that he's more youth friendly than Nagelsmann or Flick ever were. Neither Flick nor Nagelsmann ever integrated much at club level but we are supposed to do reboot with such coaches who essentially all played the same as Low did with no real improvements, LMAO.

another + of Klopp is his ability to turn mediocre players into gold. We always needed a coach who can utilize what they have but we kept getting coaches who wanted to force the team while not having the assets required.

The Klopp era looking like FINALLY a real reboot, 3rd time the charm, LOL. We've had 2 so called reboots that weren't real reboots just continuation.

Some interesting areas to look at
-GKs=The wave of next gen GKs is FINALLLLLLY here and I've been saying it for YEARS that it exists while DFB was crying and pouting doomsday we have 0 GKs we and nonstop bitching all over the media, LULZ.

with Urbig, Atubolu, Seimen, Backhaus etc all emerging. We are headed for 3 out of 4 of these playing Europe next season too. With Seimen we have a top talent GK who will play CL at 20 years old and between him and Urbig that's 2 CL GKs. With U21 Euro 2027 we'll have training Tourney experience for one of Backhaus or Seimen. Urbig on course to become full Bayern #1 by Summer 2027 as well.

Baumann is a bum who we shall never win anything with and with low ceiling and aging fast. Nubel needs to written off, Turkey, LOL. Dahmen and others dont have high ceiling.

-M=with emerging young talents like
Pavlovic, Bischof, Aseko, Ouedraogo, Eichhorn etc (HUGE LIST and wave of very very promising Ms are emerging and all still YNT eligible too, LMAO. ALL of our M talents are all 04-onwards. Ones listed are ONLY the top club ones.) we have loads of top talent and emerging M talents and all playing at top clubs and European footy next season. Will Kaba make the list at some point too as he seems that BVB seems very high on him too with Kovac seemingly confirming that he rates him highly.

according to reports, Klopp looking like HUGE fan of Ouedraogo (who was barely used at WC26) and big fan of Eichhorn. In fact its been said if Eichhorn establishes himself very fast at Bayer next season, could fast track him to SNT too SOON ENOUGH. The Bayer Spanish coach is very very high on Eichhorn a player all top clubs in Europe wanted.

Aseko has that profile that a coach like Klopp would love as well and not in a he can make shit into gold but in a talent that could be a big usefulness to Klopps playing style. Bayern wanted to keep him next season but he wanted game time so choose to go to Frankfurt instead of riding bench.

-AM+W=enough with Sane and Gnabry and whatever leftover crap from 90s age group that wont amount to anything. ALL of Germanys AM+W talents are mostly in that 03-onwards. The 90s+00-01 barely produced anything of worth.

its time we fully focus on
Adeyemi, Wirtz, Musiala, Gruda, El Mala, Karl,

we keep being unlucky with Musiala and Wirtz having fitness issues but talent is 100% there and could be interesting to see how Klopp utilizes them. With Adeyemi one has that speed demon aspect as well.

its been said that Klopp rates highly Gruda who he knows since Klopp was working for RB and Gruda plays for RB. Klopp has also been quoted as rating very highly both El Mala and Karl and some believe that he sees these 2 as potential building blocks for future of NT.

next season also sees talents like Darvich, Onyeka, etc playing 1BL for first time as well. We have MORE AM+W emerging in 1BL than ever from 04-onwards SOOOOOOOO many AM+W are playing 1BL next season and this is include fact we lost loads of players like Yildiz, Maza, Uzun etc to poaching too. Will be curious to see what Bayern does with Ibrahimovic next season, seems to be planned for 1st team but will it be real chances or come Winter and hes gone time will tell. And how many more will emerge on top of those not mentioned

how long until top talents like 2010 born Ilicevic and Guther breakthrough 1BL, LOL. Yeah last season Guther made his 1BL debut for Union Berlin, a highly rated talent who rejected Bayern and tons of clubs want. And Ilicevic who at 14 year old scored last season in friendly debut vs ADULT for Frankfurt 1st team and club got fined by DFB for making an underrage player play. Frankfurt have confirmed that the kid will join the 1st team squad once he turns 16 in October, not saying hell jump perm to 1st team but that they plan to integrate him slowly, could he be ready for EC28, possibly.Ilicevic is also another player like Guther that all the top clubs in Europe are watching. Both have very highly promising packages for the AM+W positions.

 

DFB: Mertesacker confirms negotiations
While looking for a new managing director, the German Football Association may have found what they were looking for. TV Expert Per Mertesacker confirmed on ‚ZDF‘ that he is currently in talks with the DFB: „Last week there was a bit of momentum again. We're talking, so to speak. But there is nothing to announce yet“, said the 41-year-old.

Mertesacker recently stated that he was open to a role at the DFB. Rettig is leaving the top of the DFB at the end of the year and a successor is being sought. The 2014 world champion is a hot candidate.

my biggest worry aka #1 worry is that Klopp will push for more Havertz as main CF.

weve had 3 back to back tourneys with Havertz at CF.....it doesn't really work well, LOL.
-2022 WC=flopped Hard vs Japan in XI and his only good game was playing off Fullkrug when both were subs
-2024 EC=XI in every game and 2 goals scored aka 2 out 2 PKs, LMAO. He was GARBAGE, I 100% believe we beat Spain had the ref not cheated for them with whole Musiala shot heading in and Spanish handball ignored and had we had a CF that can actually score uptop........
-2026 WC=XI in every game and 3 goals scored aka 2 out 3 are against minnow Curacao and 1 out 2 goals vs Curacao was.....a......PK, LOL. And his other goal vs Paraguay had Undav in XI

this is supposed to be convincing, LMAO.
Havertz is legit one of Germanys worst ever CF in tourneys, no debate there.

All I see is him scoring PKs or him scoring while a real CF Fullkrug or Undav were on field.

and there is precedence to it too, Klopp doesnt always play real #9s, examples like Mane etc. So him pushing for Havertz is a very very very likely.

maybe we get lucky and Havertz under Klopp becomes a scoring and CONVINCING MACHINE but can also be more MEH and ruin everything, LULZ.

sad reality is that Havertz gets that boost only because hes the so called CF that plays at the highest level aka elite club. But anyone could see that Undav, Fullkrug, Kleindienst were all more impressive in NT than Havertz but because they are nobodies there is always the allure of Havertz and his CL exploits.........that he never ever takes with him in NT, LOL.

until we get more CFs at top clubs we are likely stuck with him uptop......by default.

 

I don't get it.

Klose was never a star player at club level and he always delivered for the NT, so why do the last three NT coaches have this "star striker or bust" mentality.

 

my thinking its precisely because the last 3 coaches were CLUB coaches and have more of a club coach mentality then even Low ever did.

Issue with Low is mostly that he basically blacklisted almost every candidate for stupid shit that he was left with almost no options. Kuranyi=hes an A-Hole bye, Kiessling=Dont like him, bye, Kruse=frick him for losing pocker $$$ and for loving nutella terrible role mode, bye, Stindl=won us CC17 but we can do better then him, lets make it very hard for him to even get call ups, bye etc.

Club coaches tend to be all about Brand names and star names so players seen as losers they wouldnt want.

Havertz is a player 3 out 3 would want.
Undav, Kleindienst, Fullkrug, Woltemade etc are names that I feel like 3 out of 3 might not want if they were club coaches, LOL.

 

Stefan Kießling is hands down Löw's most mind-boggling blacklisted player. Kießling was one of the best BL strikers yet he was still blacklisted for no reason at all. He could have been so useful in Euro 2016!

Klopp has a special talent for bringing out the best out of the most pedestrian players. We all remember how he managed to have severely depleted squads go toe-to-toe with elite clubs. My biggest hope is that he applies that to the NT and we have players nobody rates at all yet are instrumental in the NT's success.

 

Timo Hildebrand (47, seven international matches): „I'm curious to see what Jürgen Klopp decides. If the traditional order were followed, Alexander Nübel, at 29 years old, could still play two world championships. I suspect he is relying on a younger goalkeeper. Jonas Urbig, Noah Atubolu and Dennis Seimen from VfB Stuttgart would be candidates.“

Andreas Köpke (64, 59 international matches, European champion in 1996, ex-DFB goalkeeping coach): „This will be a tricky decision for Jürgen Klopp. I think you have to build a young goalkeeper as number 1 now. Jonas Urbig is certainly a candidate if he plays 20 to 25 competitive games at Bayern and if he is not a classic number 2 at Bayern. I also find Mio Backhaus interesting, who has just moved from Bremen to Freiburg. And with Noah Atubolu you have to see which club he ends up with.“

Sepp Maier (82, 95 international matches, European champion in 1972, world champion in 1974, ex-DFB goalkeeping coach): „I would take Baumann for the time being and then wait and see how Jonas Urbig develops. He should play in the Bundesliga for a season first. Then you can rate it. He's a great talent, he could do it. But Klopp will sort it out!“

Toni Schumacher (72, 76 international matches, European champion in 1980): „Actually, I would have seen Nübel as the new number 1. But due to his change to Turkey he is out of focus. Moving abroad has already become a problem for ter Stegen. It has a positive effect if you play week after week in your own country and inspire people with your parades. That's why Jonas Urbig is the future number 1 for me. He will get more and more playing time at Bayern despite the new extension. And if you play and deliver consistently at such a big club, you simply have a bonus.“

Rene Adler (42, 12 caps): „I think Jürgen Klopp will pick up the phone and personally suggest Oliver Baumann to be the transition number 1. The decision should rest solely with Baumann. Baumann should also be informed that in the future Noah Atubolu, Jonas Urbig and Mio Backhaus will own the future in the German goal.“

Hilarious that ex Stuttgart Hildebrandt is only one to mention Seimen, likely because Seimen will play #1 at his club Stuttgart. Rest are all people in DFB mentality that they ignore a player as if he didn't exist as if he wasn't officially confirmed as Stuttgart #1 next season and playing CL too. Seimen becoming Stuttgart #1 next season is BIGGEST GK change of next season. And when Urbig becomes Bayern #1 full time in Summer 2027 that's BIGGEST GK change of that season.

Kleff, Lehmann,Rost on the other hand pushing for the mediocre Baumann, LMAO. Funny since I never rated Rost or Lehmann as GKs, LOL.

 

I say go full clean slate and fast track Urbig, Atobolu and Seimen into the senior NT, and jettison any player over the age of 30 for all remaining positions.

IMO Germany won't be ready to win Euro 2028,which is a shame because Germany winning another Euro is my current obsession, but build a team that can at least make a deep run there. For the time being focus on the Nations League, which I hope Klopp takes seriously.

-Urbig=seen as biggest Koln produced GK talent since WC90 Winner Bodo Illgner. Most see him as Mini-Neuer too.
-Atubolu=has broken 2 records in 1BL

1st is most consecutive PK saves in 1BL with 5 back to back saved PKs, last season too.
2nd is he is the Freiburg GK with most consecutive mins of clean sheet with 609 mins

-Seimen=last season on 2BL loan was seen as best GK in league. He holds the most clean sheets EVER in a season for Paderborn. Another record for Paderborn was 4 back to back clean sheets in his 1st 4 games at club. He PLAYED MASSIVE role in Paderborn getting 1BL Promotion with countless heroic saves including playing major role in making Paderborn be the 1st EVER 2BL club to beat a 1BL club in 1BL vs 2BL Promotionrelegation Playoff and relegating Wolfsburg.

for years, behind closed doors DFB and DFB GK Staff have indicated that they see Seimen as one of Germany most promising GK talent. Now going to be Stuttgart #1 at 20 years old, which would break ANOTHER record, looking like Stuttgart YOUNGEST EVER #1 GK at the club. Hildebrand himself was previous youngest at 21 years old.

-Backhaus=had most saves in entire season in Eredivisie loan in 2023-2024 and was seen by many as best GK that season in league. Had breakout 1BL season last season that this season moved to Freiburg as their biggest transfer for the club ever.


we should take NL seriously to win it at MIN once. Its the only missing trophy, LOL.

What do you guys think about Rocco Reitz chances. Hope he does good at Leipzig. Maybe a little bit limited skills but I have always seen him as a mentality player fighting for every ball.

Wont happen till he is the number 1 at Bayern....Neuer is obviously going around again and while I suspect this will be his last year, I doubt he will be sitting on the bench much (unless injured of course). As much as I like Neuer, I was hoping he would retire at the end of this season.

I think Klopp would want to start his time well to get some level of enthusiasm and passion back for the team and fans, having said that no one takes the nations league seriously and Iam fine with him experimenting

 

Philipp Lahm says Germany should not try to copy Spain looking for success:
"We need to rediscover the identity of the German national team. We don't need to copy Spain and their possession-based style of play; we have our own strengths. Defensive organization, physical, resilient football, and then attacking - that's what has always defined us as a national team. We should return to that, with clearly defined roles and a clear formation so that repetition and consistency can develop in both training and matches. And at some point, personnel changes have to be made if someone consistently fails to perform. more like took hiatus because ALL the signs were there that Germany was going to flop hard pre-tourney. I can always tell in advance if its going to be worth it or not and things were heavily leaning towards NOT, LOL.

I'm glad I wasn't here anyways, Germany losing to PK shootout, been shitting on current Gen Germans being embarrassing in PKs and this tourney proved my point.

tbf, Undav lacks that automatism with the NT because Nagelsmann rarely lets him play that was the issue and also the reason people pushed for Undav in WC is because Havertz wasnt convincing either and hes used to the NT players and even then doesn't impress.

 

If Reitz gets called up I feel in long run, Reitz is just a placeholder for more talented Ms that are emerging and will emerge in future. Its not bad as there is still use for players who buy time for others to fully emerge.

I think after five tournament hard flops in a row we can officially declare this to be Germany's Lost Generation. They will forever be a dark chapter in the history of the NT.
