Now that it's news... http://www.starsandstripesfc.com/20...t=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter Quote from Bierhoff [Moderator note, added 7/18/2016: Discussion here should focus on developing news about possible JK moves to England and (potentially) elsewhere. For wider ranging discussion of Klinsmann as a coach, please go to the jurgen klinsmanns coaching thread. Thanks.]
German media pushing hard for Klinsi to get the England job: http://www.kn-online.de/News/Sport-...M-2016/Klinsmann-Wett-Favorit-auf-England-Job The way things are going, I expect the Mexicans to start campaigning for him to stay with us.
http://www.espnfc.us/united-states/...but-calls-foundation-fragile-and-disconnected "If you look at the FA in England, it's more than 100 years old and they already have their infrastructure, scouting, coaches' education, national training center, and the pyramid is connected. "There's relatively little infrastructure work to do in England because it's all there. Here in the United States, building that infrastructure is still important. That's what's so fascinating and rewarding about this."

From The Guardian England's Next Manager: Strengths and Flaws JÜRGEN KLINSMANN, USA, German, 7-2 Optimist Was the catalyst for the revolution in German football when his young, likable side reached the World Cup semi-finals in 2006. Smart and effortlessly charming, he has already won the English public over once as a player. Pessimist He’s German which, in the current climate, may not be entirely conducive to uniting the country. The number of USA fans desperate for him to take the England job suggests there might not be that much substance behind those immaculately pressed shirts. Hahaha!!
Thought this was interesting from the SBI story on Bierhoff's recent comments http://sbisoccer.com/2016/07/report-klinsmann-in-discussions-with-fa-over-england-vacancy Bierhoff, gen mgr Germany who was friends with JK back in the day : “Perhaps it is an advantage that good players go to England and other countries, so our clubs have to bring other players through. But since the arrival of Jürgen Klinsmann – who I think is in discussions with England – we have also given the national team a certain pride, atmosphere and organisation. The success of the story is the high quality but also the good organisation and good atmosphere we have in the group.” Germany embracing competition, together with a good vibe, and killing everybody with it. US cartels, otoh, going with the old plantation model and looking worse every day. Just a side note: The good atmosphere was actually a Low introduction. Klinsmann is old school and practices discipline to a fault. That may be changing. Anybody remember when German Capt. Kahn exhorted his team to take a page from US players on conditioning? Klinsmann still exhibits vestiges from those long gone days. In any case, the "new" KLinsmann will certainly do well with England. Good luck, Klinsi. Let me assure my English friends that our hearty good bye to Klinsmann in no way reflects his abilities but rather the feeling that we need to take the next step with our domestic program. That is not a problem in England. England's problems are the type that Klinsi is particularly suited to fix.
New intel on the Klinsi Raus movement: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/next-england-manager-candidate-jurgen-8385304 #KlinsiRaus!
Yes, there continue to be fairly compelling reports . . . http://sports.yahoo.com/news/jurgen...ext-england-manager-per-report-221908500.html Klinsmann talks confirmed by his closest confidant.— John Cross (@johncrossmirror) July 8, 2016 Bierhoff spoke at length, and seemed to reveal Klinsmann’s discussions with the FA as a side note. Here’s the full quote: “Perhaps it is an advantage that good players go to England and other countries, so our clubs have to bring other players through. But since the arrival of Jürgen Klinsmann – who I think is in discussions with England – we have also given the national team a certain pride, atmosphere and organisation. US soccer chief won't block England move for Klinsmann. Worth asking why not? https://t.co/sfLqg819WG— Sid Lowe (@sidlowe) July 9, 2016 Lol
Yea let me revise: 720340991941554179 is not a valid tweet id ^ So he squashed the Everton one in April. He did not directly refuted the Southampton rumor to my knowledge.... http://www.sportsworldreport.com/ar...nsmann-joining-spurs-premier-league-andre.htm ^ Sunil's is the only quote I can find about the Spurs link in late 2013.....this article appears only days after Jürgen signed his extension through 2018.
From The Telegraph: FA intent on hiring English manager as Allardyce and Howe emerge as leading candidates to succeed Hodgson
Found these bits amusing: "Former Germany captain Klinsmann is seething with his paymasters after Gulati bizarrely chose the day of a crunch Copa America group match against Costa Rica last month to publicly discuss his unhappiness at the USA’s up and down form. Taking the England job would see his current annual wage of £1.8million doubled, though he remains very settled in California... " "Klinsmann is more than just a coach – he has an all-encompassing role with the USA which has seen his revolutionise the nation's coaching and scouting networks to a level never seen before." "Perhaps tellingly, Klinsmann, who has previously wasted no time in shooting down links with other jobs on social media, has failed to rule himself out." "MLS commissioner Don Garber is not a huge fan either and his closeness with Gulati means two of the most powerful men in the American game will be pushing for change. Both have been frustrated with results."
Heard from a source that the #USSoccer Press Officer has told him that Klinsmann is meeting with FA re: #ENG National Team job this week.— NostraChávez (@NostraChavez) July 10, 2016
Well, at least we can read The Mirror, who have it as a two horse race between Big Sam Allardyce and Klinsi. . . http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/next-england-manager-race-becoming-8390821 There is a new poll, at the bottom of the article, where fans rate Klinsi their choice at 55 to 45%. Bournemouth's Eddie Howe, a dark horse, is expected to be interviewed later this week.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/next-england-manager-candidate-jurgen-8385304 "But a simmering row with boss Sunil Gulati, the head of US Soccer, has ensured no one will stand in his way. In fact, Gulati won’t shed a tear if Klinsmann takes charge of the Three Lions as it would allow him to strike a hefty compensation deal with the FA."
