Sad to see that his injuries had really hampered his performances last season. 1 of the best English defender in recent times. How many players can actually play well without training? I guess only King can. Will always be the 1 and only King at White Hart Lane.
Retire the shirt. No-one else could ever wear 26. Thanks for the memories Ledders Great tribute in the Guardian. "Fitness was fleeting but class was permanent" http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/jul/19/ledley-king-calls-time-tottenham
What a bittersweet day. I know it was time, and I'm glad he made the decision, but I'll miss seeing him out there. I'll miss that feeling of seeing his name among the starters and instantly knowing everything would be ok at the back. I'll miss the way everyone around him looked a foot taller when he played. Thank you, Ledley.
bringing down balotelli in the box last spring cost us the champions league. and if that 'tackle of the year' clip played for two more seconds, you'd see makelele's goal that came from the corner king had just conceded. good f*cking riddance. serously, though, an absolute legend. one of the great 'what if?s' in our club's history - but not necessarily in a bad way. when you look at the stats showing our winning percentage with ledley against those without, it's tempting to lament how much better we'd've been had he stayed healthy; conversely, though, think of how crap we'd've been up until very recently had he not given what he did. and his doctors told him to retire years ago. thanks, ledley. alot.
I love him. Also..................Can someone in a position of authority explain why I'm getting adverts for the Arsenal 10/11 home shirt? *puke*
Class player. Lots of respect for him. Any hope of Caulker coming in and getting a spot as 3rd CB option or starter?
Yes, I know it's a filthy tabloid, but this is a good interview; http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...career-was-over-30-seconds-into-my-debut.html
