Tessman is now tied with Satriano as Lyon's leading scorer in Uefa... 1-0 Lyon early. I'm not watching but there are prolly some folks in the PBP since it's on Paramount+ Oh, and the interwebz have changed their mind and now think it's a 4-2-3-1 with TT as LDM in the 2
I thought TT had a good game, but wasn't particularly outstanding. That was mostly due to Lyon's dominance of the match... they only allowed 3 shots total in the first half and none of them came particularly close to going in. TT played his role perfectly, and as a result, Salzburg generated next-to-nothing on offense.
He hit an excellent direct free kick at one point as well. It was central, but went over the wall with significant pace. And Tessman gets a look against Ecuador and Australia for the USMNT. Lots of airline miles back to Lyon.
I watched the first half until my child required parenting smh. Thought he had some good play overall. Deserves his call up 100%
operating under the "might as well enjoy it while we can" rule, it's kind of fun to see YAs featuring on so many top McDonald's clubs atm. With PSG facing LOSC, this will change up a bit, but not a ton, when everyone plays #7.
If he's too young, then you're too old for a callup. And you and I both hold hope that it'll happen with you.
He looked good other night with usmnt. Ppl seems surprised but hes been doing this with lyon every game this year. Good to see pooch is playing to his strength and not changing his position or anything.
Lyon, Monaco and Marseille all play today. Too many YA games, in fact. I'd like to speak to the scheduling manager.
The guy in the picture above sure looks like Zendejas. Had to do a double take and saw his uniform wasn't CA.
Sulc scores in IT off a corner (Didn't see it) but it's not enough. Nice hold on to win 3-2. Matchtracker notes TT winning a FK and having a shot blocked in IT as well.
I was watching the first half off and on and I thought he played fine. Had a great long ball down the sideline to create a good chance and had two good shots on goal. But it looked like his teammate was very upset he took one of them rather than passing. I thought his teammate overreacted as Tessmann had a solid position to shoot. Who knows? Maybe the coach disagreed? AAR, I wouldn’t say he played poorly but I must admit I was only paying partial attention.
