Tessman comes off as a jerk. Same with the agent.
    Unfortunate situation

I like Tessmann but he's not Inter quality. In fact he's barely Serie A releg candidate quality.

Tessman has a lot of potential. He also seems like a smart midfielder on the field.
Most usmnt mids are headless chickens.

What makes you say Tessmann comes off as a jerk? Are you basing that on the comments made by Venezia’s sporting director, or is there something else that makes you think that?

It seems to me that he’s in a bad situation with his agent and his current situation is certainly a mess, but not sure I’d put that down to Tanner being a jerk unless there’s some other information that I’m unaware of. It was reported that he agreed to personal terms with both Inter and Fiorentina, but that agent fees were the problem.

it may be splitting hairs but he seems more stubborn and unrelenting than a jerk. His agent though seems incompetent as far as negotiations go. Venezia FO is doing themselves a disservice by making these comments public, They don’t look like angles either. They come across as the jaded soon to be ex-lover. Hopefully something is sorted out and sorted out quickly. I’d like to see him at Torino. It seems like a reasonable step up and he clearly has familiarity with the manager.

Funny seeing you say Tessmann comes off as a jerk…

Predicated on absolutely nothing. What a ridiculous thing to say.

I agree he’s not Inter quality, but he’s Seria A relegation quality based on what? The Olympics? Small sample size to base his quality on which should continue to grow at his age.

I feel like we don’t actually have good reporting as to what precisely is going on to be able to make such a statement.

He needs to mature, he plays a role where players peak in their mid-20s. He's only 22. In a top 4 league, the DM/CM has playmaking duties, he's the guy distributing to the wings and marking the pauses. He must be good at keeping the ball and winning duels without losing the map in his head, so he can thread a pass even when under siege.

Tanner may get there but he's not there yet. Serie A is very tactical, and while I think Tanner has the brains for it, he still lacks the control of the ball and vision.

He has interesting strengths with progressive passing and offensive involvement. Very very different player to adams. Idk what fanboys youre talking about.

Well, it's football and angels have no place in this particular industry (angles do if we're talking about passing or stadium design, but I digress :whistling::whistling:).

IMO their comments aren't anything unusual for a club that's already moved on mentally and just wants the player gone so they can seal a deal with his replacement. I get the feeling that if push comes to shove and their valuation is, say, 5 million, they'd probably take 4 million instead just to get it over the line.

Eusebio Di Francesco, Venezia coach, on the Tessmann subject from a press conference yesterday:

"I prefer to talk about the players I have. I'll let the club speak about him. But if you ask me what I think about him as a soccer player, I can tell you I think he's excellent. At this moment he's not part of the project. It's a discussion to be taken up with the club, and one in which the coach can have his say up to a certain point."

In Torino's season opener yesterday, a 2-2 draw away to AC Milan, Ivan Ilic started and played 71 minutes.

TLDR he's done in Venice but with everyone playing chicken, it won't be finalized until late evening on the 30th (Torino as the most likely destination IMO).

And it'll only get done because there'll be too much lost money and lost face to contemplate if it doesn't.
