Which makes it that much better. The combination of people thinking…yeah…republicans and Vance are completely ********ing weird people so that’s entirely plausible…and..:I don’t give enough of a ******** to look it up myself…makes it hilarious. And then watching the right have to spend energy addressing the issue…is even more hilarious.
I can't quite put my finger on it--and I don't want to jinx things by getting ahead of myself--but it kinda feels like there's been an inflection point with the Biden-to-Harris switch. So many narratives are collapsing, and that creeping sense of dread that Trump was counting on to numb the electorate somehow seems a whole lot less inevitable.
it’s likely to be bounded. eg if your approval is under 40 it means a significant part of your own voters don’t want you. i think we will see biden ratings go up now as well. perceptions of him will be based on the past and not perceptions about a future with him.
There's this couple that's friends of my family, nice people. But every now and then the wife will make a political comment that's just straight up weird. Thankfully the conversation is easy to steer because she's not confrontational but still, it's just odd. Anyway, I'm glad Walz has been saying what I (And many others) believe. The GOP is straight up weird.
Lots of low-information GOP voters have convinced themselves that Trump is just a rough-around-the-edges regular guy; highlighting what a truly strange person he is, and how many loathsome degenerates he surrounds himself with, could really depress turnout.
My impression at least of northern Mississippi is that it had obviously been going downhill since the Chickasaw and the Choctaw were driven out.
@Naughtius Maximus can correct me but I believe, the conservative government was gonna make sever cutbacks in the nationwide free lunch program and put restrictions based on parental earns. Rashford publicly criticized the move l, stated it was personal as he needed those meals when he was a poor kid coming up and offered to put some of his salary to the dept to help fill the void. This began a movement with other sports stars and celebrities willing to put money up, shaming the conservative government. Hence all the shit up and play people when he missed that penalty.
My memory isn't that good. Which tax cut was this move to finance? PS: Has Sunak shown up in California yet?
That's not how your post came across. You pointed out that Rashford has experience with going hungry, and inferred that makes him some kind of expert so he has validity in running his charity. On the other side, you pointed out that Swift came from money, and inferred that because of that, she should not be taken seriously for what she advocates. My point was that we should look at the individual, as @charlie15 said. If Rashford starts talking about racism, would you listen to him even though it is not part of his charity? Would you dismiss Swift if (when) she talks about sexism (in the music industry)?
There was a tweet by a guy, just a random dude that became popular. It was basically Republicans do and say so much weird stuff normal people are to busy to pay attention to until they hear it. If they want to win, just stop being weird and saying weird things. People don't want to vote for weird. It was simple yet effective.
I don't think Kid Rock shouldn't talk because he is a celebrity. I think he shouldn't talk because he says dumb-ass things.
