Why? If you've got a platform, use it. Especially when the stakes are as high as they are in this election.
Remarkably eloquent letter from Macron. Dear Mr. President, Dear Joe, It was with great emotion that I learned of your decision to withdraw from the race for the 2024 presidential elections. Please be assured that I appreciate the gravity of this moment for you, your loved ones and the entire American people, as well as the courage, the spirit of responsibility and the sense of duty that led you to this decision. In these exceptional circumstances, I would like to assure you once again of my friendship, and to thank you for the unfailing commitment you have always shown to strengthening Franco-American relations. In this respect, our respective state visits will remain important milestones, testifying to the historic and unfailing friendship between France and the United States. I would also like to express France's gratitude for the exemplary way in which you led the Atlantic Alliance through one of the most serious crises in its history. In this respect, the Washington Summit was a unique opportunity to reaffirm the importance of Alliance unity in the face of Russian aggression. At a time when we have just celebrated together the 80th anniversary of D-Day, I hope that this spirit of partnership between the two sides of the Atlantic will continue to animate the historic relations between our two countries. Please accept, Mr. President, the expression of my highest consideration. Emmanuel Macron
What? I guess you are wrong on all fronts...There is zero evidence that Travis Kelce is a trumper. it is likely the opposite and Taylor herself is liberal. By the way, No, her songs are not all about her boyfriend either or her life for that matter. That is ********ing so sexist. Second thing, why "people in the entertainment business should just stay out of politics"? They do not have the same rights as others? Remind me of the infamous "shut up and dribble" said to Lebron by some clown on Fox. Seriously, that is a pretty backward a reactionary thing to say. Dude, WTF?
More often than not, they use their platforms to display their limited knowledge on pretty much everything not directly related to what they do, while also highlighting how out of touch they are. The odd one like G. Clooney or M. Balotetti can think outside the box but the vast majority are just cringe and repeat stupid cliches.
Just checking.. what about Kelce makes him appear to be a hardline Trumper? Is it his vocal support for Black Lives Matter? Maybe it's his appearances in Pfizer commercials telling people to get vaccinated? Maybe it's his vocal supports for gay rights? LOL. Or are you just saying that because he's a white male that plays football?
He's got a beard too! Why, that makes him a JD Vance guy! @BocaFan you really stood on a rake on this one
Dunno why this one isn't breaking the internet, but I'll put it out there anyway "Child of my enemy, why have you come?""You know why, Yakub. The time is upon us.""You don't mean–""Yes. The whitest man you have. I need him. Now." pic.twitter.com/m52IS4W6Is— Ante D. Luvian (@uncle_deluge) July 21, 2024
Yes, white male that gets hit in the head alot. If that doesn't fit the Trumper profile, not sure what does.
They can't resist....They won't be able to hold it... “House Republican leaders told lawmakers to focus on criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris’ record without reference to her race and gender, following caustic remarks from some Republicans attacking her on the basis of identity,” Politico reports. “During a closed-door meeting Tuesday morning, chair of the House GOP campaign arm Richard Hudson (R-NC) and others issued the warning after a series of comments by their members that focused on Harris’ race as well as claims she is a ‘DEI’ pick, according to two people in the room.”
So then ignore the ones who say things you think are dumb. Personally I ignore pretty much all of them, though I do appreciate when they attempt to get a message across to their fans who likely have even less knowledge. I'll take any method of galvanizing the youth vote we can get.
Sure, I will ignore. I do. Just highlighting that in general it's probably not a good thing if our youth takes direction from complete imbeciles.
See, the Republican congress campaign guy says this, and then Trump's going to go say DEI with a hard R, and what are the Republicans in Congress supposed to do? They're going to do what Trump does, of course. No party discipline anywhere to be found.
I spilled my coffee reading this Tweet Sorry Donald, you must carry him to term. pic.twitter.com/qID9LOJ2Kg— Dear Lustful Medicant (@gfrancie) July 23, 2024
How do you think she connects with her fans, and promotes to teens who are online, that they need to see mental health support?
Well good luck with that one. Our youth is always gonna take direction from who they take direction from, olds be damned.
Cry harder.....Good luck with that complaint! “Donald Trump’s campaign filed a complaint on Tuesday with the Federal Election Commission against President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing them of violating campaign finance laws by rolling Mr. Biden’s campaign funds over to Ms. Harris,” the New York Times reports.
Citing Taylor Swift as an example of a complete imbecile casts serious doubt on your own mentation...
Actually, she has said that many of her hits are. And her most recently album, Tortured Poets Department leans into that. Some of it irony, some of it is reflection. But it is accurate that many of her hits are about ex-boyfriends. To me, there are limits to what non-pols should be doing. I'm fine with with Swift and Beyonce and many others do, promote causes and work with pols on specific issues. I'm not fine with things like George Clooney suggesting that there needs to be a change at the top of the ticket. How many celebrities do you follow and pay attention to about what they are saying/pontificating about politics? Cause it really seems like it is a lot.
Looking back at his presidency, the orange fascist has a long track record of making bad choices in personnel. "Only the best people" was in reality bad choice after bad choice.
