It was slowly turning blue for awhile there. Obviously, it has backslid some, but, it is taking the slow path.
Polling that had Biden as the Dem nominee. Biden stepping down and Harris replacing him has thrown pretty much everything up in the air.
Tillis was losing the 2020 race until the Dem candidate was caught boning a PR consultant for his campaign...

Seth Moulton isn't from a swing state, but in the future, he could be someone to bring up as part of a ticket.

    Good to know.

I still have a hard time trusting southern states.

I'd trust PA before I'd trust a southern state, at least until they prove themselves.

I don't think you're entirely wrong, just saying that NC is more a purplish-Red state rather than a solid red state. Choosing someone from NC who just recently won a statewide election could be very helpful in flipping the state into the blue column.

Of course, having Cooper as NC Governor could be more helpful in preventing it from backsliding more.

Ah. Ok. I know he was one of the earliest to come out and call for Biden to step aside after the debate. Just wondering if you had some extra vitriol to spit his way for the crossfire.

You can’t know PA and say this. The quote about PA being Pittsburgh and Philadelphia with the rest being Mississippi is true.

AFAIK, we weren't talking about what people like and don't like. People also don't like colonoscopies but its not a valid reason to vote against the democratic candidate. Neither is crime.

Isn't it "Pennsyltucky" as the reference?

That said, PA has a longer history of doing the right thing, and as a resident of the Rust Belt, I trust fellow Rust Belt residents moreso than the confederacy, politically. [Except Ohio, who have decided to become like Kentucky, politically.]

    Sure it is:

Crime is an issue, and a former DA could be seen as the antidote.

Meanwhile, a convicted felon could be seen as a negative, as it pertains to containing crime.

The counter-argument, IMHO, is that Democrats who win statewide elections in red-leaning purple states do so by putting some daylight between themselves and the national party. Running as VP negates that strength.

I completely forgot about this. It can be either "Louie-ville" or "Lou-uh-vuhl" as 1 entire syllable.

Also in Kentucky, Versailles is "Ver-sales" not "Ver-sigh"

Actually, I do not really like him much. He is a bit of a snake and backstabber. The Biden cheap shot didnt help nor his attacks on Pelosi.

Cooper is term limited and will be out after November elections. Actually, although I voted Shapiro, I think Cooper has a better than even chance to be the VP nominee. If the campaign feels safe about Pa, Wi and Mi, they could expand the map with Cooper in NC. He has an excellent record there as per below.

Since 1986, Cooper has never lost an election in North Carolina, even in Republican-friendly cycles. And he got more votes in 2020—when he last won reelection—than Trump or the Republican Sen. Thom Tillis. In other words, quite a lot of Trump voters were happy to vote for him over the Republican gubernatorial candidate. That’s some powerful cross-party appeal for a candidate who has always run as an unapologetic Democrat.

Point of order. Not sure about winning it considering they elected Ron Johnson in that state.

I suppose it depends on the individual case.

The obvious example being David Pleat who called Lizarazu, LiZAZaru for year. I don't don't think that was racism because, a) Lizarazu was white and, b) David Pleat is a complete prat! He struggled with Gascoigne IIRC.

If memory serves he was also the author of...

"A game is not won until it is lost"
"Winning isn't the end of the world"
"This is a real cat and carrot situation"
"I've seen some players with very big feet, and some with very small feet"
"And the steam has gone completely out of the Spanish sails"
"He's got a brain under his hair"
"Pires has got something about him, he can go both ways depending on who's facing him"
"That would have put the icing on his start"

My Brother in Christ - Mississippi keeps touting that they're 45th in education, even though they're 49th, because they can't count any higher than 45

Beyonce has give Harris permission to use her song “Freedom" in the campaign trail. Would not be surprised if she endorses as well.
