The temperature sensitive vaccine had to be gotten rid of after a few months in some states because not enough people were getting vaccinated.

It is the word close that pushes the button. 2.7% is comfortable. 17% is a landslide, an avalanche, assault and battery.

    It wasn't close.

And the MIGQP is broke and run by lunatics. Looks like a safe Dem right now. I’m more worried about WI and all the crap that GQP is trying to pull.

In response to the weak argument that the post-Covid jobs boom was somehow inevitable, just compare the US’s economic performance globally. We’re at the top - or close to it - in nearly every category: low unemployment, GDP growth. We whine about inflation, but ours is among the lowest among the world’s developed economies. Real GDP growth in the US since Q4 2019 has been 6.1%. The next closest growth number in the G7 is Canada at 3.5%.

If job growth was just kind of a natural byproduct of coming out of a pandemic, why isn’t every other country experiencing it? Why is the US economy so dramatically out performing those of nearly every one of our economic peers?

I should note, as the resident nutter, that I have never walked down the middle of the street. At least I don't think so. There were several years of heavy drinking I can't remember...

Just wanted to revisit this, now that I have posted some facts and data to support my statement. Your turn! (That's the part of your trolling I enjoy the most - how you insult others for supposedly doing exactly what you normally do).

I am suggesting that the Biden claim that Trump was poor on jobs without mentioning that jobs were lost because of COVID gov mandates is nothing short of a lie

your Obama 9/11 claim is a straw man and moronic to boot

and you don’t mind politicians telling lies as long as it’s ‘your guy’ lying

Part of the problem for Trump is that his first 3 years in office were worse for job creation than Obama's last 3 years in office. (This article dates to the start of February 2020, aka before the effects of the pandemic were felt).

In other words, job growth slowed down and then collapsed while Trump was President. Yes, the collapse was due to Covid, but again his handling of Covid was extremely poor, so those two things cannot be completely separated. But either way, job growth was slowing under his leadership anyway. In other words, he was poor on jobs.

Trump was okay on jobs, but not great. The US experienced 100 straight months of job growth, starting in 2010. That ended in February 2019 (a year before Covid), when the US economy shed 50,000 jobs. Two million jobs were created in 2019, which was the lowest annual number since 2010. Obviously the US wouldn't have lost millions of jobs in 2020 without Covid. But economic growth was already slowing in 2019, making Trump's pre-election claims that he'd be "the greatest jobs president that God ever created” rather dubious (like so many of his claims).

Umm…the first vaccines were released under eua in December 2020. Trump’s term ended in January. I certainly don’t remember the Biden administration pushing this.
