Thanks, good to hear and congrats to Persepolis! We haven't seen much from him yet with the NT but he is still young. Hopefully Bashar settles well with PP and continues to grow as a player.
Some players perform at club level but not at NT level. But it's too early to make any judgement he's still young, IMO he will be an important and big player for Iraq. Seems like he has the "it" factor, always seems focused, stays calm in all situations, pretty interesting, I think he will breakthrough this season with Persepolis
Great to see him do well for Persepolis. Hopefully he helps them win the ACL, we haven't had an Iraqi in the Club World Cup in a very long time. I think Emad Muhammad was the last with Sepahan.
Emad Reza is one of the legends in Sepahan, we have Marwan Hussein who joined recently (rumours was that he was personally suggested to the club by Emadreza which is why we got him). Hopefully he will be like 1/4th close to being as good as Emad. He has not settled completely with the team yet but I am sure it will come soon enough, Sepahan are rebuilding right now so its not easy
Ali Adnan back in Udinese's starting XI against Juventus yesterday. Had a decent game but his team got destroyed. He got into a fight with Mandzukic causing the Croatian to be sent off. He played as a right back for the second time in a row. His time at udinese has been pretty weird. He might be an unused substitute for a several games against weak teams like empoli or crotone, but then all of a sudden he's a starter against Roma, Juve or Napoli. It's his 3rd season in Serie A and he still hasn't played in the san siro stadium, nor has he faced Inter Milan yet.
Adnan played the full 90 today in a 1-0 win against Sassuolo, he had a solid game. Hopefully he starts against Atalanta on the weekend.
Another full 90 for Adnan and another solid performance in a 2-1 win. He almost scored a screamer as well.
Atalanta is a very good team over the past couple of seasons, so that's a very good result. Ali Adnan's resilience with this club is amazing. He played for 4 coaches now, and every time he proves himself and wins a place on the starting XI.
Justin Meram plays against New York City FC in the MLS playoffs tonight. He has a strong record against NYC FC. 7 games played against them with 3 goals and 3 assists
Ali Adnan was on Whoscored.com's team of the month for Serie A, showing a nice turnaround for Ali who won his place in the starting line up after being frozen out for a lengthy period under Del Neri. In other news, Ali Adnan among the names that Napoli are considering to replace Faozi Ghoulam who tore his ACL. http://messaggeroveneto.gelocal.it/sport/2017/11/08/news/il-napoli-vuole-ali-adnan-1.16093424 Ali Adnan said that there hasn't yet been an official offer to his club or agent, but he is being considered. Would be huge for Iraqi football if a transfer like this actually happens.
After a string of solid performances from Adnan, he’s been frozen out of the starting lineup. Udinese lost 1-0 with an error from Samir(who played LB) leading to the goal.
Solid performance today from Ali Adnan in a 3-0 win against Crotone. Looks like he's settled with Udinese. Proud of him.
Ali Adnan played 90minutes in his first match against Inter Milan at the San Siro and his team won 3-1. Huge victory.
Another solid game for Adnan in a 2-1 win, he got an assist and played a part in the winning goal against Bologna.
Ali Adnan out for a month after sustaining a muscle injury against Bologna. Reading the italian comments by Udinese fans, it seems he's getting popular and his good performances have not gone unnoticed. Hopefully he returns strong. Muhannad is joining Bangkok United in the Thai league. Weird move. There were also reports a little while ago from Iraqi Pro Players that there may be interest in the French League for Ahmed Yasin, but I don't know for sure.
Finally, after all those transfer rumours over the years Much better than staying in the league, all the best for Humam!
Reports that Yaser Kasim will most likely make a move to a League Two team, Notts County and Port Vale are among the interested teams. Sad to see Yaser going downhill..
Brwa Nouri was praised by Arsene Wenger after the europa league match yesterday between Arsenal and Ostersund. “Overall they played well,” said Wenger. “They didn’t give up, they continued to fight until the end. Their captain [the midfielder Brwa Nouri] was impressive, a very good player. They had a positive attitude. Meanwhile, he's constantly overlooked and benched by football genius coaches in Iraq. Most of our neighboring countries can only dream of having one of their players captaining their team against a huge club like Arsenal in the europa league group stages, while our coaches and FA take it for granted.
I'm pretty sure he is referring to Saman Ghoddos who captained the team in the second half. Nouri was subbed off at halftime and from what I saw, didn't impact the game much.
As far as I know Basim gave him as much time in the NT as possible. Gave him the start against Japan in the WCQ's, and he even took the penalty against Kenya in Basra.
