Maybe. I don't know about Anderlecht, but Ali has been a LM for Udinese for most of the time, so it's possible. Not sure if this move is particularly good for him. On one hand, they are the best team in belgium and will play in the Champions league next season, but it's a much lower quality league than Serie A. Still, it could be a good place for him to start fresh, play regularly and return to the level he was at in the past.
Ali Adnan currently linked with CSKA Moscow and Espanyol. Reportedly, he's closer to Moscow. Would be a good move. CSKA Moscow is a big club and will be in the Champions League next season. Good place to get back to a consistent level, get new experiences, and possibly make a move to better team after 1 or 2 seasons. Espanyol is another good option. It's easily a good step up from Udinese, in a bigger league. Not sure if he would be a starter though and I'm also not sure if the style of play in La Liga would suit him.
Yaser Kasim moved to Northampton Town (League One). At least it's a step forward from Swindon. Hopefully he will have a good season and return to the NT in good form. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/40494903
change of scenery might be all he needs. Hope he gets back to his old level, God knows we need a creative midfielder like him on the national team.
Rebin Sulaka to Al-Markhiya in the Qatari league. Good move tbh. Second division in Norway is very low level football, the Qatari league is a step up, and it comes with the added benefit of a bigger salary than anything he could get in europe. Also, Saad Abdul Amir is on his way out of Al Ahli. Might be joining a weaker saudi club. Honestly, he should be looking for a move to europe. Anything is better than playing for Saudis. He's probably the best DM in the league, but he's being thrown away by them. They always mistreat our players.
Lots of news recently. Ali Adnan says that most of what the media wrote about his potential transfer is correct. CSKA Moscow tried to get him in the winter, but couldn't pay the fee Udinese demanded. He wants to leave and most likely the best way would be on loan. He doesn't want to work with the coach anymore. He said his next destination is probably La Liga which makes me think it could be Espanyol since they were linked with him recently. Ahmed Yasin nearly joined Norrkopping, but AIK didn't want to strengthen a rival so they sent him to Hacken on loan. Today Brwa Nouri lead his team to a historic victory over Galatasaray in the Europa league qualifiers. Gala were the most difficult opponent they could possibly face at this stage and they won 2-0.
Meram got snubbed of spot on the MLS all star team. Disappointed he's not in but not surprised, always a popularity vote every year.
Not sure what more he needed to do to get on the team. He's been in the best form of his career and he still doesn't get enough attention.
Just saw on socceriraqs twitter that Saad abdulamir may be going to the kuwaiti league........ Too low for his level.
Brwa Nouri scores a penalty and leads his team to knockout Galatasaray from the Europa League qualifiers. Huge achievement, since Galatasaray was the strongest possible team they could face at this round and they beat them 3-1 on aggregate. Was also satisfying that Brwa scored since the turkish fans were threatening him and abusing him on his instagram account.
Rebin Asaad joined Hammarby. Another midfielder who hasn't gotten a fair chance with the national team. I don't understand how he didn't even get opportunities with the Olympic team. Also, we have another Iraqi-American player like Meram in MLS. George Malki got a move to join Houston Dynamo recently. It will be his first season in MLS. Seems like a versatile player because he's a midfielder who has frequently been used as a RB or LB. Will be interesting to see how he does so we know if he would be useful for the national team or not.
Iraqi pro players are linking Ali Adnan to turkish club Goztepe. I think it's BS; a small club like them can't afford his transfer fee. They say that news they are reporting is from Italian sources, but that's not really true because those Italian sites are copying reports from turkish media which is notorious for being constantly wrong.
Summer window is over, and Ali Adnan is still at Udinese. There were several sources linking him to many different teams. Before the window closed he was looking for a move to Lille after rejecting a return to Turkey with Goztepe. On the deadline day there was interest from Sassuolo and Crotone, but both bids were rejected by Udinese. The club president asked Ali Adnan to continue for this season, so hopefully this means he has a place in the team and will get proper game time. Overall there have been quite a few transfers for Iraqi players this summer, most of which were positive.
Once again Bashar Rasan is subbed in in ACL and with limited minutes contributes hugely to the team, winning a penalty which was the winning goal for Persepolis vs Al Ahli (3-1), sending them in the semis of ACL. Quality player, should be given a chance to start now IMO
