Exploring the San Jose Quake Board... they have a Thread on their about starting an Interstate Cup Between San Jose & Los Angeles. Seeing as MLS wont work to facilitate this and L.A.G organizers probably wont either. It seems like it's under the teams larger fan bases to organize and produce this. i.e. - the Galaxians and The Riot Squad / CLUB QUAKE for San Jose. Sounds interesting, but is there anything officially being done to see this happen?
Whats the deal with all the cups between just 2 teams in MLS. Thats just stupid, it won't even mean anything. The only time I know a team got a trophy for winning a derby is when they played their 100th derby. Now that means something. Theres probably a 50th derby coming up. Why dont you make a trophy for that.

Interstate? Cup The concept is neither here nor there to me. But "Interstate" Cup is not a good name for a rivalry cup between two teams within the same state. Or maybe the Earthquakes are moving?

Yo G....I'm not stirring shite.....I just said california has had the MLS Cup for the last 2 seasons. A rip on everyone but SJ and LA. That's why mine didn't get deleted.
DC won the "Atlantic" Cup between DC and NY and you know what, who cares? Partizan is right, the league doesn't have the history to make inter club competitions realistic. The only Cup that should matter is the MLS Cup. Rivalries are just as good without some stupid piece of silver to play for.
