This channel kicks ten kinds of ass. Where else can you get J-Pop, hilarious Hindi shows, and Serie A all in one channel? Does anyone else watch this channel?
I watch it sometimes. The Hindi shows are awful, and I have to see more than my fair share as TV Asia is on all the time at my inlaws. I think its late on Sundays when they have the Indian version of MTV. Now that's some comedy.
I like Show Biz India just because it's so goofy it's funny. That and I can't understand any of the words. If I could understand it, it might go from funny to annoying. I also like the Japanese show Hey Hey Hey Music Champs for the same reason. I have no idea what's going on and it's fun to MST3K it. If I spoke Japanese, that might reduce the hilarity quotient.
I understand some Hindi, and they're still pretty funny. What I don't understand, my wife will translate. Their cheesy pop/love songs are much cheesier than ours, so they're still pretty funny even if you understand them.
And the ignorant shall ignorant remain. I agree, it's not for everyone. Only for those who think Friends and all the "Pretty People With Problems" shows on the WB are boring and who like to laugh at foreigners when there's no soccer on to watch. --------- I love how all the people in the ballad videos went to the William Shatner School of Scenery Chewing. You can just hear the director off camera yelling "Emote, you son of a flea-ridden buffalo, EMOTE!!"
What's even more incredible is how the women are so gorgeous and the men are so goofy looking. There's a wide gulf between the two.
Which brings me to another reason to watch the International Channel: hot chicks from around the world.
