None of what you posted has any bearing on whether or not having plans means that a war is going to happen. For a European you have a rather shallow reading of European history but knowing your diatribes about immigrants, it it obvious you are a nationalist. Your main problem with Trump is that while a kindred spirit he's seemingly turned on you but the thing about nationalists that you didn't realize is that they always eventually turn on another nationality no matter how favored they seem to be.

 

Quite the opposite, as my post also should reveal, then I have a much deeper understanding of European history than any American or most Europeans. Understand this, the BBC are the least nationalist media in Europe, which is also why it's highly trustworthy when it describe how WW1 actually happened, which is not at all what you were told in school.

So I'm not really a nationalist, but I'm describing how it all happened, which is kind of how nationalism shaped the world in the past and why we are all where we are now in the "free world"

As for immigrants, I have no personal opinion of where they may come from, but rely on crime statistics only, just as our Social Democrat Prime Minister do, which is also partly why we are a rich country that is not infested with high crime rates, but top all the doing good and happy lists, unlike the USA.

Trump on the other hand is a racist, and while Denmark were the very first country to accept gay marriage in the world, he is also using homophobia as a "weapon", which is quite amusing, because he admire Putin in woman high heels and his vice president is wearing eyeliner.

 

If we lived in this leftist world maga (and GQP broadly) believe in, they'd not have power in the US. The fact they do should be proof enough but that might require an ounce of critical thinking and well...

You are all wrong if you think that I'm a nationalist who do not support an independent Greenland, but I also understand that the USA would never respect this, unless we and the EU and NATO are going to be the shield of the Inuit and Greenlandic independence.

So do not misunderstand who we, the few Danish Angels/Anglo are representing, just as we were the only shield for the Jews during WW2, and also the European shield against woman and gay hating Islamism during the Danish Muhammed cartoon riots, and now the vile US MAGA fake Christianity.

But the whole idea that poor "brown" Islamists have some sort of a right to be highly violent and criminal, plotting terror attacks here up North and killing people who are Jewish or of a wrong sexuality and "wrong" belief is crazy at best in a Nordic point of view. This is just simple Nordic Social Democrat logic.

I will agree that Trump and MAGA are the most communist like 100% dictatorial government rule you could possible imagine, much like Russia, China and North Korea, .I mean, Trump do no longer allow any kind of federal court judgement or local State self rule, and neither the media or Senate are keeping him responsible for his highly corrupt and vile actions, while here in Social Democrat Denmark this would all be highly unthinkable. The latest factual news however is, that during the G7 summit, a German military transport Airbus A400M landed unannounced in Greenland



and shortly after a military green private jet with only two unknown passengers landed, and in the awake of this Denmark made the request to place a new special operation HQ in Aalborg that will cover all of the Arctic area instead of this all being in the hands of the USA, so that If the US administration refuse this request, we all know why.

Never the less, Denmark have now obviously already made some sort of a secret deal with the Germans, and not least the military deal with the French regarding Greenland, that on the other hand is all in the open, but in high regard and respect of the Greenlandic people and Government, so that no French troops are to be deployed in Greenland itself, but a battalion (in this case 600 French soldiers + 35 vehicles) will be stationed in the French Navy’s LHD Mistral helicopter carrier, that are right now also doing coordinating training with the Danish helicopter units, and have been refueling the Danish F-16 in the air, that have now landed in Greenland to it's defense.

All in the preparation of a possible invasion, that should now be considered to be defused and being impossible all considering, because it would then be the start of WW3.

It should also be mentioned that Denmark will now also be taking over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) from 1. July , The Official Ceremony will take place here in my home city of Aarhus on the 3. July, with attendance from the Danish government, the European Commission, European heads of state or government, as well as members of the Royal House of Denmark.

Be aware that Denmark financially is the most solid and strongest power of the EU when it comes to a government budget surplus, so the tiny Russia leaning economy of Hungary and Slovakia is of no worry to the Danes, and so they will have to fold and comply. 6 month to fix the EU economy and financial failures, is way too little in my opinion.

Just an update, both regarding Denmark's EU Presidency and the possible donations of Patriot systems + missiles to Ukraine, considering that news about Denmark, usually and to some extend deliberately, is going totally under the media radar.

Denmark's EU Presidency has been working very hard and not sitting on their hands this past week, with the Danish Foreign Minister, Danish Minister of Defence and not least former chief of Special Operations Command, now Chief of Defence, 4 Star General Michael Hyldgaard visiting the USA, though not to to be in the limelight, so staying clear of Trump's pointless crazy TV appearances with foreign leaders at The White House, insulting his guests and babbling on like Grampa Simpson about nothing and everything, and in this case no doubt would end up in a pointless discussion about Greenland.

The Danish delegation have also been staying clear of Vice president Vance and secretary of defense Hegseth, but have been meting with MAGA Republican Senators, "multi-hats" Marco Rubio, US Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and also representatives from the US defense industry, with a specific request of donations of Patriot systems + missiles to Ukraine, either by the USA and/or in cooperation with a coalition of donors, including Denmark and the other Nordic countries + Germany.

The Danish Defence Minister and 4 Star General Michael Hyldgaard have also discussed an offer to purchase a further10 or more F-35 fighter jets, more than Denmark have already signed up for. But the main focus point has been the donations of Patriot systems + missiles to Ukraine, just as it was the case with the F-16's earlier donated by Denmark and the Netherlands, that was finalized after a meeting between the Danish Prime Minister and then CIA Director Burns.

Hopefully, we will see the same sudden progress in this case, as it now seem that Trump now all of a sudden, this week, seem to have changed his mind about the donations of Patriot systems to Ukraine. I suppose it would also seem mighty embarrassing for Trump and the "mighty" USA, if they refuse the offer from "tiny" Denmark and it's coalition of willing allies, to buy and donate, if MAGA USA do not feel that they have the money to do so themselves.

 

This is a place where you can get relevant EU-US relation news, and about Greenland, that you would never be able to find anywhere in any English language news media, or even on YouTube, unless you already knew about it in advance.

 

Perhaps I should add, that Ukrainian president Zelenskyy was visiting Aarhus for the official Ceremony on 3. July, the same day when Trump was speaking with Putin over the phone, and Denmark was taking over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

I'll not be boring you with any of that, except mentioning that the present Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, is a personal friend of Zelenskyy, and unlike how the foul "King" Trump has been treating him and Ukraine so far, then this is how the real King Frederik of Denmark was greeting Zelenskyy at Marselisborg Palace, the Royal summer residence in the southern outskirts of Aarhus.



Unlike a President, then the finest job of a modern King, is to unite people for a common good, and not to "divide and rule" as Trump is obviously doing, so regarding the cost and benefit of having a Royal family, then if you do not have a King but a President, besides a Prime Minister, then a President is less likely to be as popular and good at uniting people as a King would be. There is also the question of the value of the perception and branding of a country abroad.

Of the Nordic countries, only Finland do not have a king but a President, and the main budget for Finland’s Presidency, that cover expenses for meetings and human resources as well as presidency organization costs, is somewhere between 55 million and 70 million euros, which do not include the election cost every 4 years. So vastly more than the 19.3 million Euros Denmark spend on the whole Royal Family a year (as of 2024).

 

I'm currently in a train from Aarhus to Copenhagen and I'm not sure what the economy is based on. Selling oil? Carlsburg? Windmill production? It's a great country l, but as far as I can tell its budgetary power is from rather high tax rates.

 

Pharmaceutical exports I believe. Novo Nordisk, perhaps you've heard of them, among others. Otherwise domestic services economy. You can make that work as long as you have a tax structure that enforces egalitarianism.

 

I wasn't trying to be mean. Denmark is great but it's mostly farmland outside of the cities. No real mining or other extraction exports that I can see or that wikipedia mentions. Services, norvo Nordisk, Copenhagen, windmill manufacturing. With wind making up nearly half of electricity in the country. I can only assume norvo Nordisk exports to USA will be hit with some good tariffs soon.

 

Nothing happens. The King of Denmark may have total immunity, but he is not above the law, so if a mad King of Denmark was to do a "Trump" by violating the constitution or the federal court, his rulings would be totally ignored and null and void by default, and there would then most likely be a referendum on keeping a Monarchy or abolishing it.

Perhaps we Danes are in luck, or just abide to the common good by nature, or more than a 1,000 years of experience is the cause of this, because our Monarchs are exceptionally well educated and down to earth and in a symbiosis with the "peasants" class, while never trusting the aristocracy and billionaires, and Danish billionaires also have this exceptional tendency to be in a symbiosis with the King and average "joe".

I understand why this all seem to be highly unlikely and Alien to all Americans, but actually also to our neighboring countries outside of Scandinavia.. As I have earlier mentioned before, then I live in the southern outskirts of Aarhus that is one of the oldest cities in Scandinavia, by the name of Aros in the Viking Age, and this is how it would have looked like back then in the year 934 under the rule of king Gorm the Old.

The 2nd biggest container shipping company in the world, Danish Maersk, have said that their business is down around 40% moving goods to the USA, but all-in-all only 5% world wide including the USA, due to the exports being rerouted to elsewhere, so they are not financially all that personally worried as such.

According to the Danish Industry organization, then 2/3 of all Danish companies dealing with the USA or having US subsidiaries, are now either totally pulling out of the USA or are looking for other partners around the world to trade with in the future.

The production of natural gas and development and export of sustainable energy, like windmills as you mentioned. The Industry is using natural gas for sure, but unlike almost all of the rest of Europe, Denmark has moved on, now only using sustainable energy for private homes and neither gas or oil.

Denmark also produce 3 times as much food as it can possible consume, which keeps the food and not least the egg prices down to a low and highly respectable level (despite a 25% sales tax, included in the listed price of everything, that on the other hand provide much better food quality and free healthcare for everyone).

It do not seem like big Danish companies like Novo, Carlsberg, Vestas Windmills, Maersk, LEGO or what have you, seem all too worried about their own sales right now.

Denmark is all about keeping the local history and parks free of charge for the public, while making the tourist "bleed", much like everywhere else, though in this case, it's not really driven by greed, but by insane beverage prices and a 25% sales tax that makes you pay as a tourist but then life cheaper for people who live here.
