I know this is somewhat tangential, but the way we’re forced the play the national anthem before all domestic sporting events is just stupid. The fact that we play it before a game featuring basketball teams from two US cities playing in the UK is dumber yet. Why the hell should a bunch of British basketball fans have to sit through the US national anthem in a situation like this (as opposed to when national teams are competing) it beyond me.
