Well, other than Heckuvvajob Brownie, who I hear was really good at putting on show-jumping competitions with Arabian horses. But why cain't he do that with Muuurcain horses? We doan need them Ay-rab horses!
Yeah, Newt lost the plot a while back. He is nothing more than an accessory to a whack-a-doddle. But Mitch is the center of what remains of the party.
As I was saying. President Trump: "I don't think I would've done any better had I not been impeached. And I think that's a great tribute to something. Maybe it's a tribute to me." pic.twitter.com/WW2QABo9C7— The Hill (@thehill) March 31, 2020
Sure, I mean if he handled it "perfectly, just like the call to Zalensky," how can you possibly improve on perfection? And if someone asked that at the presser, that answer would be prefaced by "That's a terrible question and you're a terrible journalist. You should be ashamed of yourself and your fake news..."
So...we may have to figure out how to handle this. Does the pot split? NEW: I am circulating Articles of Impeachment that @RepTedLieu, @RepRaskin and I have prepared to remove the President from office following yesterday's attack on the U.S. Capitol. pic.twitter.com/b92GL9Ap33— David Cicilline (@davidcicilline) January 7, 2021
Yup. Biden has won the election, and we have just witnessed the breaching of the Capitol (along with other locations) around the country). Impeachment would only be technical, and would also only inflame the outgoing President's supporters.
Is there a notification to you that time stamps when someone voted? Asking for a friend. Totally not me. I certainly didn’t notice today that I hadn’t actually voted.
You sure about that? #BREAKING: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says the 25th Amendment should be invoked to remove President Trump from office, and if it isn't, "Congress may be prepared to move forward with impeachment.”— NPR Politics (@nprpolitics) January 7, 2021
Can they impeach him after he leaves office? I seriously doubt they could get everything done in a week. They might get it through the House, but there is no way that McConnell will be that quick with the Senate and Schumer isn't going to take over until GA certifies the runoff votes.
GOP congressman calls for the 25th It’s with a heavy heart I am calling for the sake of our Democracy that the 25th Amendment be invoked. My statement: pic.twitter.com/yVyQrYcjuD— Adam Kinzinger (@RepKinzinger) January 7, 2021
Yeah...I was listening to something the other day which said that convicting of impeachment is not possible, because the time it would take to complete the procedure from front to back is not possible.
Same with 25th. All Trump has to do is object to finding of cabinet and VP and it requires senate and house votes which won’t happen by 20th.
And then the VP and Cabinet resubmit their finding and he loses powers again until Congress determines if their finding has merit or not.
