I know some people said they got a certificate, but I never got it. Has anyone heard anything about the shipping date for the jerseys, I know they originally said they would be shipped on 4/25... Waz up? Am I the only one who is thinking wtf is going on?
The problem is SARS From www.metrostars.com: "As of May 5, Nike stated that our order has not yet been shipped. The product is scheduled to be graded by the company for quality assurance purposes on Wednesday, May 7. Our Nike representative has stated that the earliest shipment date is now May 16, but is not guaranteed. As soon as further information is provided it will be posted on MetroStars.com at the online store." Hey, maybe this is a no-brainer, but I just read this article about how the SARS epidemic is screwing up all the clothing shipments from China. According to www.nytimes.com, Taiwan--where my Nike USA jersey was made--is experiencing the largest increase yet in SARS cases. So, that explains why our 2003 jerseys haven't arrived yet.

It seems like the colors got messed up a bit. Quality assurance Manager will go to NY/NJ walk the streets wearing one of this shirts to see if anyone notices. As soon as he ruturns they will have a meeting about his findings. Our Nike representative has stated that once the shirt is approved it will be posted on MetroStars.com at the online store and wait for the fans reaction. Nike hope they won't have to remake them again as their designers are allready working on next years kits. However they assure us that the shirts will arrive sometime before next years kits are available. In worst case MetroFans would be able to get both shirts in time for xmas.
Per a phone conversation with the MFO, The Good News: The jerseys have been shipped!! The Bad News: Nike wont tell the MFO where en route they are. Just plain sillyness

The newest from MFO: Matt, Thanks for your email. As I am sure you know, Nike delayed our entire jersey shipment for over 3 months. We have most recently been told by Nike that we can expect a shipment on June 5 and another on June 15, although we do not yet know the quantity or sizes included in these shipments. You can expect to see the jersey that was part of the ESC season ticket package as soon as we can fulfill all the orders. Unfortunately the entire matter has been out of our direct control and we sincerely apologize for any frustration it has caused you. The home jersey arrived!!!! It arrived in a Federal Express 2 day envelope today. Looks good. They also included a Mike Magee autographed card. Man, do I feel old.
