I give it 50/50 on that! The stadium will still be there but a win is important to it keeping some of the fair weather fans and getting on the right road again to be there for MLS cup! :)

A soccer designed stadium in LA is something I've been dreaming of way before MLS was even born so it is a big day for me in that regard.

Normally, it's all about the Win. But, Saturday, I won't care if the Galaxy lose 10-0. I am going to soak up every second of every minute before, during, and after the game.

I am going to enjoy it all. It's truly once in a lifetime, boys.

    Moving the MQOD? :)

A victory, pure and simple. The @#$%ing Brewers have a new ballpark. We need a winning team. I'd rather see a victory in the Rose Bowl.

That being said, I am so geeked-up for Saturday, and the blissfully-shorter drive to the sparkely new stadium. I'm just going to have the attention span of a teenaged fruit-fly hopped up on Code Red until this puppy opens.

Not checked the LARS boards, but are there welcome chants for Brad Friedel?

I for one am very anxious to finally have our home opener.

However, being a first time season ticket holder... I have to admit I hope I am not in for a season of watching the Galaxy play as they have up to this point.

I want a win... but would settle for a game where the Galaxy had 11 players on the field who gave their all for 90 minutes.

Please no EZ sleep walking like last week.

Yeah, but where are you going to find an ancient Aztec virgin these days?

You can also find foods to tempt the appetite in The Home Depot Center’s American Café, located on the south end of the soccer stadium and open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., for breakfast and lunch and during most events. The Café menu features specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, sandwiches and pastries.

If you’re still hungry and looking for a sit-down, fine-dining experience, The Home Depot Center also offers the Stadium Club, a specialty restaurant with a spectacular view of the soccer stadium! The Stadium Club is open to the public Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., when not in conflict with events. The Stadium Club is also open immediately before, during and after events for guests attending the event.

Has anyone seen The Home Depot Center’s American Café? I thought there was only The Stadium Club restaurant for the bourgeois.

I don't know what lineup will be used, but I just want to win. Of course, I'll also be soaking up the stadium & its atmoshphere. It's going to be special Saturday.

Do we know for sure that Califf gets released for the game against Colorado? If so, he wont be with the nats for the NZ game next day.

What about Simon? Has NZ called him up for the friendly? Will he be available on Saturday?

Yeah, I keep hoping he might actually put one on net (maybe when he tries to pass...).

One of the MLS board threads says Danny Califf has been released by Il Bruce for this game. So he will be here Saturday.

Nah, punish him! Make him run one complete lap around the field and see if he doesn't suffer a heart attack.

    Screaming Korean girls

I hope I don't have to hear the voices of Korean girls screaming everytime Bo touches the ball.

I was watching a match a while back on TV and this was the case...it was quite annoying.

It sounded as if the girlscouts had bought a block of tickets.

    Re: Screaming Korean girls

Better bring some earplugs and grit your teeth. It's just as bad as the teenyboppers after Donovan. And if Bo starts, we're going to be in for a long game until he subs out, if ever.

Apparently, the Landon Donovan lookalike "Memo Gonzalez" was training with LA Galaxy yesterday according to MLSnet.

    http://www.mlsnet.com/content/03/90min0606hdc.html

It would be wild for him if he makes his pro debut today... it won't happen but who knows.
