Although I linked a picture directly from PhilosophyFootball.co.uk in the previous post, you can order these shirts through BigSoccer ($29.99 short sleeve, $38.99 long sleeve) here:

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=29&products_id=27&

They're kind of expensive because they are imported, FWiW.

Even better, they're in old Quakes' (and ManU) red. Just like Bestie would want.

I got a Nietzsche one "My Idea of Paradise is a Straight Line to Goal" through BS last year.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Did the NASL Earthquakes ever play in a nationally-telecast game?

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

ABC had rights to the games around 1980 or so.

    Don't think so.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Thanks for the info. I remember when there were no nationally-telecast soccer matches here in the U.S. - just more proof that I'm old. :(

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

Before ABC bought the rights, there was a nationally syndicated package (Jon Miller was the PBP man), and I do remember the Quakes being featured in 1978 or 1979...and I remember not recognizing anyone in the SJ XI except Paul Child and wondering just what happened.

I picked up a cool video from Reed Swain.

A bunch of half-hour highlight shows of NASL goals. Lots of cameos: Ray Hudson, Thomas Rongen, Paul Child, etc.

We'll have to pop it in at the Brit someday...

There is something very wrong with the first picture. There are people sitting all over the decorative wooden slats on the east side of the stadium.

That is awfully nice of Doyle NOT to be choking Mauricio Wright in that 2000 picture.

You know, I'll certainly buy one of the new kits, if/when they are ever put on sale, but the Quakes, right now, have great uniforms.

    Go Quakes

I read somewhere (World Soccer I think) that Guus Hiddink spent some of his less-than-celebrated playing career at San Jose.

Number 21 of that first picture looks like Ray Wilkins........but I doubt it is.
