the good news is the ACC is NOT adding Va Tech who's women's soccer program traditionally couldn't win the ODAC (although they beat Syracuse) and is committed to having no good teams except football.

this is a done deal - it won't be good for soccer because teams either lose a couple of chances to play out of region marquee games if teams just play an 11 match round robin schedule OR the divisions are used in all sports which means that not everyone gets to play UNC every year (and not everyone can host them every other year).

expect the announcement just before June 30 when Miami's auction runs out of time.

the ACC was the last conference where football didn't completely call the shots (because of basketball), but now that Yow is at UMD, football gets the run of what was traditionally a b-ball vote and it's a big race to the cesspool.

Way to go Duke and UNC who voted against expansion right up to the bitter end.
