After weeks of being cosnstiently reminded of the Giggs "Wonder Goal" from 99, who sweet was today's Wonder Miss? No Bergkamp, little Henry and still a smothering performance by the Gunners. The odds on the Double are looking good.

    Right On

No Bergkamp, Freddie, Gilberto and a little Henry and we pulled one off for the ages. Thank you Giggs for those 2 wonderful clearances. You are welcome to join our back four anytime. (LOL). Did you all notice that Witord's goals was a replay of Giggs' attempt, yet rather landing in the Irish sea, the ball landed square in the net! Two nil to the Wenger boys.

Will this be a triple or a quad double for us? I'm confused.

442: Thanks--I'll check it out and share the info with a couple of friends<P>OP: Treble--Champions League, FA Cup & League. The "Quad" would have to include the League Cup.

Giggs took a nice long pass from Beckham which just out srtipped Keogh (I think), beat Campbell in the box, had Seaman go flying past leaving and absolutely open net. He could have rolled the ball in with no chance for anyone to stop it--and skied it over the bar. Probably the worst miss of his entire career.

Anyone seen any wallpaper or large on-line photos of the miss certainly of MY lifetime, or at least my life as a Gooner!

    Bravo! well done.

I have watched the shot and cant tell what he did wrong. Head down Eye on the ball. I think, in all seriousness, that he wanted it to look pretty; with power in the upper corner instead of just putting it in. Horrendous miss and the absolute turning point.

    ..

I have never seen anything like that before. At least Ronnie Rosenthal hit the bar!!!!!

Unfortunately, my friend had £10 on Giggs to score first at 14-1. He was already on his way to the bookies as Giggs swung back his foot......

Finally saw the highlight, and I believe Giggs thought he had less time and space (Campbell on him) than he actually did. He did have his head down, though, so miskicking is a little difficult to justify.
