It is a Gamba Osaka matter since Usami is from Gamba. Nothing wrong with asking right? It isn't as if I am asking about other players from other teams.
Next season Ken Okazaki will play on loan in Ehime FC and Hiroshito Uchida to Tokushima Vortis. Akihiro Sato signed with Tokushima Vortis too.
Last Saturday (24/1) went to see the friendly match between Gamba Osaka and Persija Jakarta at Bung Karno Stadium. There I met two Gamba fans who came directly from Osaka to see the match, they chanted during the game, made some local spectators a little bit see them in amazement, although of course the chants from Jakmania (Persija fans) dominate the stadium. I also met some young Indonesians who like J.League and have a Facebook fan page & Twitter, they asked by the two Gamba fans to chant with them. Also the two Gamba fans also greeted by a Japanese expatriate man who apparently a Gamba fan too The match went well for Gamba, 4 goals againts zero (1-0 at HT). And they played without Endo, Konno, and Higashiguchi. Lins & Patric came after the Half Time break. Persija indeed need organisation overhaul.
Hard not to guess that Gamba will dominate this year. Urawas chance must be in winning a short sprint as a stage.
Buy Urawa were on top most of the game, they just couldn't put the ball in the net. Gamba didn't show any superiority.
I have some question. Can it be that japanese clubteams are a little shy/scared from teams from abroad or oversea ? Sure, the J-League is no Bundesliga,Premiere League etc. but it is not a worse league, the have strong teams and good players and especially teams like River Plate should ne handable. Same like the EAFF with the J-league Japan.
From 2010 all the editions were won by Japanese sides... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suruga_Bank_Championship Gamba played without Usami and Gamba it's all about Usami or something like that. Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating, but he means a lot for Kenta.
I don`t mean only this competition I mean friendly`s etc....all matches. I have the feeling J-League players are to shy or have to much respect.
River were excellent and Gamba were very wasteful, they had 7-8 clear cut chances and couldn't put the ball in the net. Patric was terrible.
River was pretty relaxed in defense Saku, especially in the second half and look what did Barovero at that big wasted chance of Patric.
Levir Culpi fired, and Tsuenyasu Miyamoto appointed as Gamba Osaka's top team manager: 宮本 恒靖U-23監督 トップチーム監督就任、實好 礼忠ユース監督 U-23監督就任のお知らせ https://t.co/76E0GPox5d #ガンバ大阪 #GAMBAOSAKA pic.twitter.com/8pzwKavPMO— ガンバ大阪オフィシャル (@GAMBA_OFFICIAL) July 23, 2018
I like Culpi so would have hoped to see him given more time but obviously things werent working well. Whether that's Culpi's fault I don't know, but the whole club have been under-performing this season. Would be sad to see gamba go down to J1 with their brand new stadium, but not sure Miyamoto is the guy to turn it around either. On the positive note he knows the youngsters quite well, and a lot of them were already given lots of playing time under Culpi.
Culpi gambled a little too much, especially in the first matches. I'm sad to see him go though and wonder if this sacking will help. (and as a fan I appreaciate the space he gave to Fukuda\Takae\Meshino\Nakamura etc. )
Just curious, since I don't watch Gamba a lot, has Hiroki Noda been playing? If so, how is he playing? Just curious as I am interested on how has he performed so far. He seems an interesting player.
Yeah. Miyamoto have taken parts of his coaching license abroad (after his spell in RB Salzburg), so he might have some different views than the usual Japanese coaches. It will be interesting to see if he can implement some new ideas into Japanese football.
