http://www.mlsnet.com/content/03/la0218lamanga.html Looks like a good tourney. The Gals look tough and Quacks seem to be a work in progress.
The Quakes hit the post twice. 4 inches to the left and they'd have tied a perennial Champions League team that usually makes it to the second round. I've put away the LA-SJ rivalry for this Cup (unless we meet in the semi-finals in which case screw the Smurfs ), as success for both teams does a lot of good for MLS. The team the Galaxy beat 5:0 (without Cobi and Ruiz btw) is not in the same class as Rosenborg...hopefully we'll get a chance to meet them in the final
The Gals look like a team that has only had to make minor adjustments in the off season. Quacks appear to be in the who's on the left phase. Is there any TV on this tourney and any website? I'm a Gals fan until 4/5. Carry the flag high guys. SJ looks like a shell of last years team.
Re: Re: The Galaxians - carrying the MLS flag I believe Lyn, the team the Galaxy beat, finished 3rd in the league last year. Hardly "not in the same class". They are highly regarded in Norway. San Jose did have the tougher 1st team to play.
