It is so strange. I bet you Euro 2028 we draw Spain or France for sure in early stages.. Even if we win our group. Then World Cup 2030 we will have Spain Germany or France in our group or draw them in the early stages yet again. Why does this keep happening.. Nobody else noticing this? So odd..

Portugal record against those three teams are dire man, the last time Portugal beat Spain was last year in NL final on penalties shootout and before that in Euro 2004, the last time we beat Germany was last year in NL semi and before that in Euro 2000 and we never beat France in any major tournaments outside of that Final in 2016.

Unless we beat them we can't never go deep in any tournaments let alone winning it:(

If we exclude the nations league we really have only beaten Germany, France and Spain one times each in major tournaments which is depressing :(

It is very strange the Seleção always seem to meet those teams.

Kinda crazy that we brought in a fourth goalkeeper to practice finishing, yet we barely got to see any of it throughout the tournament.

    Or prime Germany.

In this one we did it to ourselves. The players had the biggest loser mentality because Martinez had them convinced not attacking was great futebol. The fact Ruben dias and Nelson semedo defended how they played is shocking

Yeah so the 4th keeper was never on the actual squad. He was just there for practice.

    Jesus is not the messiah

I know that Portugal's been out for a week and people on here have moved on to other things (club football). Many people see JJ as someone who will revolutionize Portugal's game but I don't think so. He's a decent coach with decent success record, not great but decent. He also has a history for being polarizing. I have a feeling that Ronaldo will keep being a mandatory presence for the NT.

I think at the very least he will not gaurentee spots and have them play attack. Which means we will probably open ourselves up to more losses but also more wins especially vs teams we are better than.

Seems Ronaldo will still be called for the forceeable future but I think JJ hinted he won't get the guaranteed start or even playing time. If Ramos produces I think it's his starting spot but if there is no back up then Cristiano is a logical choice. But if Ramos doesn't produce and no one else emerges I wonder what the excuses will be when we call Ronaldo to start again.
Oh I know we should play false 9 with the amazing Bruno up top lol

IMG_6970.jpeg Here is how the squad should look for the Nations League games in the fall.. No Saudi league players, Ronaldo or the midfield trio of pain and suffering.. Give the youngsters a shot.. Maybe swap in Patrao or Fabio Silva, idc at this point..

Agree. If Trincao is anywhere near this team then we have big problems.

I’m surprised kroupi didn’t join us. France is already stacked in his position. Will probably end up being capped a few times there and never to play again

Anyways cb is by far our worst position. I still have hope for Antonio to become good, but as of now it’s embarrassing that inacio and Antonio are our best second options to play with Dias. I did think it was harsh for inacio to not get a single minute at the World Cup based on a friendly with Nigeria. It’s not as if veiga was setting the world alight

Antonio Silva to Bournemouth, wonder if he'll evolve in the Premier league or flop. Bournemouth has generally been a good team to evolve players, although, Iraola is not the manager anymore

What? He’s the perfect sub/utility player on the wing, can create/pass/open lanes, it’s just this was his first real tournament.

I still like him. With Sporting he’s been fantastic.

Still fancy Bruma, he can do it all; but people hate him here.

You guys seeing all this weird numerology shit with Messi and Yamal? It’s way too many coincidences at this point. Then there’s Martínez and his obsession with the number 6 supposedly bringing us luck. Lol! We lost on July 6th! To a player wearing 6! After 6 minutes of stoppage time! Who scored 6 minutes after coming on as a sub!

God hates the Portuguese or at least the soccer gods do. They’ll script the perfect fairytale for Messi and Yamal but happily throw us under the bus. I am so ********ing depressed.
