FS+ is still on the FS Go app with the regional/FCS channels sold to Sinclair. I highly doubt Sinclair bought FS+. I'm wondering if FS+ is going away?
I'd imagine that FS+ is still under the national sports network umbrella with FS1 and FS2. So it's fate would still be up to FOX Sports. Maybe it holds on another year with the Bundesliga deal.
Today was a huge day for FOX. 4 big matches (I'm watching the 4th right now and it's fantastic). And I just want to say that they did quite a good job of their soccer coverage this month, especially with WWC, Gold Cup, Fox Soccer Tonight, pundits & commentators. With a few minor exceptions... a quality job. Today in particular was huge and I can't really remember a day of coverage like it. Certainly not on a single channel.
It's been great......wish the Red Bulls could have pulled out the W @ Atlanta but to get the equalizer late isn't bad. Hopefully the US men can finish out the day on a high note.
Probably a 6/10 on the whole. Dellacamera being the lead commentator is just not good enough and Lalas is hard to swallow as a gimmick gone too far, but the rest was decent at least. Strong/Holden were good on the Gold Cup Final.
More soccer shrinking at FOX After 7 years I’m moving on from Fox Sports TV. There are some terrific people there whom I’ll miss working with. Looking forward to what comes next—and to continuing my main job in Year 23 at Sports Illustrated. Vamos!— Subscribe to GrantWahl.com (@GrantWahl) August 1, 2019
Watching the German Super Cup on Fox, and Fox is superimposing their own version of advertising over the advertising boards along the touchline. It's incredibly distracting because it's brighter than the advertising that would normally be there. On top of this, every time the director cuts to a different angle that's not the typical sideline angle, you see advertisements they're seeing in the stadium. I have no idea why Fox is doing this, but it sucks and is incredibly distracting.
Hope this doesn't continue on league games this weekend. We will see this afternoon with the Bayern match on FS2. With no college gridiron yet, FS1 is showing two matches on Sat. & Sun. mornings.
If you are fortunate enough to have access to FS1/FS2/FoxDeportes/TUDN/FS+, you get to enjoy most of the 9.30 ET games
Big FOX v DISH dispute right now https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nca...es-on-fox-channels/133e506e68ok01wy32g1dh37v2
Hopefully they get this fixed in less time than their dispute vs HBO, but given the comments from Dish regarding the regional sports channels...
It took just a few days: https://awfulannouncing.com/fox/dish-announces-long-term-carriage-agreement-with-fox.html
I wouldn't say Copa do Brasil is a minor competition when it pays the winner 17 million dollars and a place on Copa Libertadores and if you win that a opportunity to play for the world title.
True. But in terms of USA television ratings and interest it is pretty low on the totem pole. And he was talking about FIFA tournaments not the Brazilian cup ones.
Just a reminder that FOX still has some soccer rights. They're showing a Club WC match and the very big Dortmund-RB Leipzig match on FS2. Colin Cowherd keeps his 12-3 slot on FS1 /fart
THANK YOU for writing this. Had you not, I wouldn't know CWC was on TV, and I want to follow Liverpool's fate.
At this moment, I don't think FOX has any plans to show the Club World Cup final live on an English language channel. College basketball is scheduled on FOX/FS1/FS2 in the 12:30pm ET window that the match would begin. So if anyone cares, they may need Deportes access. (match winners shown in this link) https://worldsoccertalk.com/2019/12/09/fifa-club-world-cup-tv-schedule-viewers-united-states-2/
Yeah, but my guide says that FS2 is showing it at 5pm ET, so for me that's OK. Or else, as you say, FOX Deportes at 12:30pm Live. Does anyone know the rules for CWC... do they play Extra Time or go straight to PK's?
