Basically, everything Fox-related is up for renewal with AT&T U-Verse in November. What does this mean for the AT&T regional (formerly ROOT Sports) channels which AT&T hasn't carried in years? What does this mean for the stand-alone Fox Soccer Plus, given that they seem to have not much of interest and many other providers seem to have it in a sports tier? Stay tuned...
Fox kind of took it to an extreme today with an Octoberfest theme. Beer, Pretzels, a bunch of people dressed in lederhosen and a Polka band. Part of me just wants to shake my head at the stupidity. Part of me is very happy to see Kate Abdo in a Beer maid dress.
What was special about today? Didn't Oktoberfest start last weekend (or maybe even 2 weekends ago)? Wish I saw it just for the LOLs
It was Foxorific. Its like a clown show over there. Tons of not funny jokes and nonsense. Typical Fox. PS- Kate Abdo did make it watchable
Runs from last weekend through Oct 7. I give FOX credit for doing something kind of fun and trying to promote the Bundesliga - no one's really watching and they don't have much else to do in the long slog between World Cups.
One improvement Fox has made with the Bundesliga this season is that they're no longer showing the scores of other matches played at the same time during the Saturday morning matches on FS2. It's always been this way on FS+ but now you can watch the FS+ and FS2 matches without being spoiled on the match on FS1, which still shows the scores so it should be watched last. I doubt this was a conscious decision by Fox, probably more of a "benign neglect" of the FS2 telecast to just use the world feed with minimal work on their part.
Looks like Fox Deportes is putting Libertadores games online (free with authentication) when the Fox Deportes channel shows something else. Fox Deportes is showing a baseball game tonight, but River-Gremio is showing as available on Fox Sports Go.
Thank you big time for noting this, I had resigned myself to DVRing the replay tomorrow afternoon on Deportes but instead got to watch it live thanks to seeing your post in time. I'm sure tomorrow's Palmeiras-Boca semi will be shown live the same way.
I did a FoxSportsGo split-screen of the Libertadores match and the World Series last night. Good combo, exciting soccer in Espanol while I passively kept up with the baseball game trudging along at snail's pace
Tonight Fox Sports Go will have the Sudamericana match between Deportivo Cali and Independiente Santa Fe while Fox Deportes shows Gremio-River on TV. (I actually don't see Gremio-River listed as upcoming on Fox Sports Go -- hopefully this will be corrected by match time.)
The Copa Libertadores final has been moved to Saturday (both legs - 10 $ 24 Nov). Wonder if FOX Deportes will even show it (or any TV channel on FOX). The first leg conflicts with Bayern x Dortmund.
College football time on FOX and FS1. So this has to be Deportes all the way. They have the Bundesliga match listed right now but guessing that will be swapped out.
Are we sure that Deportes will carry the Copa Libertadores matches? All I am seeing so far is FOX Soccer Match Pass on live soccer tv's listings.
Deportes site only lists games/shows a few days in advance. Guess we'll know more tomorrow. http://www.foxdeportes.com/tvschedule/ Zap2it has the Bundesliga match on Deportes right now but "Sera anunciado" from 3-6 ET. Earlier they had a replay of the final at 4pm.
Confirmed: http://www.foxdeportes.com/tvschedule/ 12:30 pm (ET) BUNDESLIGA Borussia Dortmund v FC Bayern München 2:30 pm LA PREVIA COPA LIBERTADORES 3:00 pm CONMEBOL LIBERTADORES Boca Juniors (ARG) v River Plate (ARG) Final Ida 5:00 pm FOX DEPORTES EN VIVO - ESPECIAL
Meanwhile, the $15 per month (on many systems) Fox Soccer Plus is showing a repeat of Werder Bremen-Gladbach (scheduled for that morning on FS1) rather than a Superclasico Copa Libertadores final.
$15 a month? Maybe I am going to get in trouble for leaking this but access to Fox Soccer plus on the FOX Sports Go app is free with Dish and has been for many months now, I hope it is not a glitch I have been taking advantage of and this post does not lead to it being blocked off now for Dish subscribers.
That’s great (or at least it would be if they ever showed anything worthwhile). I have the opposite glitch as I logged in to FSGO with my dad’s Spectrum account. He has FS Plus (Spectrum has it on the sports pack, at least in his region) but I’m not seeing any FS Plus programming on FSGO. Which would be a problem if they ever showed anything worthwhile.
