Going to a 5 Star restaurant and ordering a well done Wagyu A5 filet. When served I'm going to bellow for all to hear..."Where's the ketchup!".

On a lighter note, Hamtramck is amazing when it comes to food. Arab food, Bangladeshi pizza, Polish food, quirky bars with live music, it's there.

I write this because I had dinner today with my dad at a sushi joint down there. It was excellent. And I live near quite possibly the best sushi place in Michigan (A family friend of mine who lives in NY is convinced it's the best sushi they ever had). Hamtramck is one of those places where it shouldn't work with its demographics. Arabs, Muslims, Lord knows how many Eastern Europeans, quirky artists, but by God it works. I can go down there, buy some records, get a drink, get some pierogies, a Yemeni dinner, and then be home in 15 minutes. It's awesome.

 

Uhhh yeah. Gonna have to remove that second "m" in the name ughkay.

Yes, definitely a top 3 holiday for me. PIG OUT, PEOPLE!

And this is how I like my NJ diner waiters. Greek, wisecracking, serving bacon, eggs, toast & hot coffee. Oh, and not having the ability to see.
