Re: The Flamster appreciation society this thread is going to need an R, i think!! since we will probably want to bask in the glow of his awesomeness by talking about matches
Re: The Flamster appreciation society i don't know if you can edit the thread title, but a mod can take care of it
Was he the official MOTM? What a frickin' awesome display he had today. He was feeling it toward the end.. orchestrating the midfield and telling his teammates what's up. As the Arseblogger would say, "NCP" (new contract please).
I think that this match against NUFC may be his best in an Arsenal shirt. He did everything today, an assist on a great cross, a candidate for goal of the year, and tracked back in defense. What a complete performance, I still can't get over it!
This match and I believe it was the match against Aston Villa earlier in the season that rank amung his best this campaign. He scored an awesome goal that match, remember? EDIT*** Just looked it up and yah, the other game I'm referring to was our 2-1 win over Villa on December 1st. We came back from 1-0 down in that one.
Flamini was awesome today! Definite MOTM! And, its Mathieu Flamini NDP (new deal please)... Not to nitpick...
As soon as I make a remark on Flamini's average performances of late, BAM he puts out a stellar one. This was his best game in more than a month. Good on the ball, creative ideas, acurate passes and a deadly finnish. Way to go FLAMSTER!
The Flamini lesson, if you are good enough you will play. Something for all those play me or I will leave players (I am looking at you Diarra). Happy for the guy.
If the Flamster is smart, he will let his contract run out and make AW pay bank to resign him...he's done enough to warrant a huge pay increase.
I would have to say i rank Flamini among one of the best performers this season. He has gotten a lot of games, mainly because he isnt made of glass like the rest of the team, and has always turned in good performances. For me he really is everything you could you want in a midfielder. He can score goals, see a pass, win the ball, etc. I know he is holding out for a bigger deal supposedly and i think Wenger needs to give it to him. He has justified it this season and he knows the club has more money to work with now. I hardly doubt he is trying to break the bank on us. Wenger, you know what to do!
I particularly like the fact that he opted to stay and fight for a place. Unlike some other defensively minded players we've had lately. I've liked him since he came over from Marseille, but I never really thought he'd become such an important player for the club. On the subject of his new contract... Wenger hails Flamini http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11670_3091306,00.html Flamini's priority is a new deal http://www.arsenal.com/article.asp?...ority'+is+to+sign+a+new+contract+with+Arsenal
Surely if it's that straightforward the deal should have been signed by now. Methinks the agent is the complicating factor. Either that or someone's lying...
the only issue I have with Flamini is how he likes to stay in the final 3rd and make passes himself instead of just giving the ball to Cesc... play your position young man... luckily, we did not see that much yesterday... and he gave a MOTM performance and our goal of the season
a 30 yarder that curls? the only one I can think of that is on that level was Ade's goal against Spurs at Shyte Hart when we won 3-1...
Yeah. It's been going on too long to be that simple. If he holds out and puts in a string of great performances he's going to get a lot more money. Maybe not from us, but from someone. I doubt we'll see him sign until the end of the season. Wishful thinking though.
