It'll be tough to make up that large of a margin (I'm still trying though!). I really have never met a more paranoid/insecure set of fans than fans of the Pink Heifers. They seriously spend more time worrying about their "image" than about their team.

Strange comments from them. Maybe it was just because I was in the River End, but I don't remember any sort of canned music/chants being played.

Three PPL Park votes only raised our total by a tenth of a point.

The closest thing there was to canned music was "Doop" which was played all of 30 seconds after each goal. Can someone explain to me how someone can have an opinon without even being in the stadium? If I was to judge RBA solely from watching on TV, I would infer that it would be the perfect place for a funeral. It's open, quiet, empty, and there is a box of tissues in every row.

I didn't hear any canned noise, but hey, I was only sitting directly underneath a speaker, so what would I know? Those guys watched the game on TV!

having experienced RBA when we played them there earlier this season (league not cup - and it was stone dead), I think there's a little bit o jealousy creeping in from our pink northern friends. Full house yesterday and it was awesome. Place rocked

Depends on what you want in a stadium. Red Bull was nice, when we were there, but I want in a soccer stadium is to be outdoors, close to the action, with a big rowdy crowd.

Red Bull feels like it's indoors, the upper bowl had nice site lines but it was way the heck back there, and the 500 or so of us from Philly constituted the big rowdy crowd.

I voted for PPL Park. It is exactly what I want in a soccer stadium.

I DVRed the match and watched it when i got home from the match. I didnt even notice they played music after the goals because the stadium was so loud until I watched the broadcast on TV.

PPL Park provides the fans with the best view of the games. It does provide an outside feel which is fantastic. Red Bull Arena is nice and good for MLS but I just don't like it at all. I would be disappointed if that was our home. I just has no charm whatsoever it seems very cold and imposing. I think PPL Park is very inviting and open and scenic. My vote obviously was for PPL Park.

It's an internet poll on the MLS website. Give the PCNJ clowns a break and let them stuff away ... it'll be the only bragging rights they'll have to fall back on after this season.

"We didn't win the MLS Cup, or the US Open Cup ... but teh internetz says we have the bestest SSS in the league!"

You know, you're absolutely right. Let them sit around in their basements clicking away, fighting against some unhealthy obsession with a team that is only 11 games into their existence. :D

"We" being you and, what, three other people?

I mean, I guess if you're afraid of big, empty, open spaces, your stadium might be intimidating.

Well, I went back to try and help out, but it's pretty out of reach at the moment.

Ironic how a team called the Bulls has penis envy.

Exactly. "A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest"

Hope they enjoy their meaningful poll victory!

Saw the thread. For the life of me I can't figure out why these NY/NJ fans are so obsessed with us. They have their own team and their own SSS. What do they care what our stadium is like on TV?

The construction of the building? I didn't realize PPL was made out of ball gags.

Actually the reason the SoBs have to work hard is because there are 16,000 other fans there. 16,000, isn't that how many empty seats they have at Pink Cow Palace every game?

You must have miscounted the number of PCNJ fans...I think there are three of them.

Re: Delusional PCNJ Fans Trying to Skew a Vote

Do you mean the supporters or the team? Because if you meant the team well then I have to say that yes the team imposed it's will on the Union during the first match. However if you mean the supporter's then well you sir are delusional. I attended the match at RBA and I have to say I was extremely dissapointed in what I saw. RBA was very nice and as I said previously is good for MLS but the fanbase was pathetic. The stadium was almost half empty for a weekend match. ESC made some noise and put on a good show but it was far from imposing. The only thing that was imposing was the walk from the stadium to the train station. I hope to see a big group of NYRB supporters make the trip to PPL Park to impose their will on us again.
