Does anyone happen to know the exact date of the very first San Jose Earthquakes match in 1974?

On the Vancouver Whitecaps' website, it lists their debut match against the San Jose Earthquakes in May of 1974.

Was this also the Quakes' debut match? Does anyone have a 1974 schedule lying around somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.

My source says that first game was at Vancouver (a 2-1 tiebreaker win for the good guys) with the next game at home against Dallas (4-3 Qs). The year-by-year results listed don't show exacts dates for games until the '79 season, so I can't help you with that....
