Watched completion of match on YouTube. 2-2 tie NE II won shootout. Cassano and Diouf scored for Fire II. Gasper - no positives, fell asleep and his man scored second goal for NE.
The goalscorers are the 2 best players this season. Nice Fire II debut for 16 year old CM Emir Herrera, who played for Argo HS last fall. He was credited with an assist on Cassano's bombaso and showed good passing range/crisp play out of his position.
Sorry. Somewhere in the distant past there was a terrible MLS/Dallas Burn commercial where the slogan was something like "It's 104 degrees on the field. That's why they call them The Burn." I couldn't find it.
Chicago Red Stars v. Seattle Chicago Red Stars with the 2-0 lead in the 12th minute on two very quick Ludmila goals. Smallish crowd at Soldier Field. What has been going on at Soldier Field these days? The field is all torn up. Really weak penalty call against the Red Stars. As the penalty taker was stepping up, ref stops and VAR. OVERTURNED! No penalty. Correct call
I’d expect it to fill in closer to 7:30, seemed like tickets were moving quickly- I put mine up for resale and they were snatched up within an hour. Aside from the Beyoncé concert last month, I’d assume there were more concerts since- those ain’t great for the field.
May 17-18 - Beyoncè May 24 - AC/DC May 30-31 - The Weeknd June 6 - Kendrick June 20-21 - Meltin Margs Music Festival (Not certain if this is inside the stadium) July 18 - Blackpink, K-Pop's standard bearer July 30 - Two sucky EPL games. Maybe the field is re-laid for the ponces, maybe not. August 28 - Oasis (Can Liam & Noel can get along,oh wait, Noel's divorce cost £20 million) August 29 - My Chemical Romance playing SF for no justifiable reason August 30 - The Lumineers August 31& September 1 - System Of A Down & Avenged Sevenfold September 2 - Work to re-lay the field so the Bears can tear it up. As you'll note the 16 dates are more dates than the Fire plays at SF and they all at least draw 30-40k.
I was surprised to see My Chemical Romance at Soldier Field, but it looks like most of the available tickets are resale, and they’ve sold enough to (maybe) justify the venue. Expensive ass seats, too! Over $300 just to get in the door. https://www.ticketmaster.com/my-che...go-illinois-08-29-2025/event/040061674EA8508FMy Chemical Romance: The Black Parade Tickets Aug 29, 2025 Chicago, IL | Ticketmaster

Trinidad hasn't exactly looked threatening in the first 12 minutes. Many close chances already for USMNT. Well make that 1-0
2-0. I haven't seen much from T&T so far that makes me think they can make a match of this. I suppose the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half would be when we'd find out. Clearly you all HATE Trump's Amerikkka and are not supporting this Pulisic-less USMNT! Lol. Oh geez...I typed too soon. 3-0
