That was dire defending by Inter Milan.
    Pure pinball offense by PSG.
Your "hero" Tom Cruise would have done better than Inter's defense! :whistling:

Tom Cruise could have stopped that. 2-0. You should have heard him talking about how he had to be an "athlete" to do all those stunts and he "totally identified" with the dedication it takes to play high level sports because...he's Tom Cruise.

    Glad I missed it.

We were coming back from plant shopping at the greenhouse and I am teaching my better half to drive. She drove home along the county roads around here, getting honked at by pickups.

That was nerve shattering and irritating enough, but better than listening to Tom Cruise discuss soccer.

Second half kick off. Not much different than the first half.

Not sure if there has been a Champions League final that I truly do not care who wins or who loses.
Most of the time, I either want a team to win or a team to lose or BOTH teams to lose.
Today? I really do not care.

I gotta admit I really was looking forward to a Barca v Arsenal final so the fact that neither team made it a lot less interesting to me as a 100% neutral moving straight into indifference. I also have noticed a trend where the more exciting the Semi-final the less interesting the final for whatever reason and when my wife asked me to drive her to Lowe's for some plants and potting soil at half time I was kind of relieved to do it. I went, did that and helped her load everything in and out and to the garden and never missed a goal. Well...now we leave the USWNT v China on in the background and wait for the Fire.

I agree, it would be easier to root against both Barcelona and Arsenal.
If they had played in the Final, I would root for Giant Asteroid.

HT score . Fire II 2 - 0 Columbus 2 Fire scored early ( Konnicks header?) but COL looked better but could not finish. Referee was calling it really tight and lots of COL fouls. At min 42, COL player got a soft second yellow,so red, and coach protested enough to get a red too. COL at 10 and head coach gone. All of a sudden, Fire II looking good and Reynolds scores on multiple pass sequence near goal.

Fire II dominated second half, win 5-0. Gasper was active both offensively and defensively and looked good the first half. He was subbed out at halftime. Reynolds looked Ok on defense and moved to left side replacing Gasper at halftime.
In first half, when Columbus was applying pressure, Fire II stayed organized.
    Good thing to see.

I 100% forgot that was match was even being played. CONCACAF doesn't do a solid job of promoting the final in my humble opinion.

I didn’t either until a friend asked where we were going to watch. Ended up saying in the yard to watch on an iPad and some Radlers.

Not having seen CR7 play in at least 2 years at the club level as he collects odious amounts of sheik oil cash I was a little bit surprised to see how fit and dangerous he looked in this match. I mean the guy has always been a total machine and at his advanced age that doesn't seem to have stopped. Being that his contract is up and he still has the world at his fingertips regarding his final club act I suspect he *might* end up in Portugal to close his career out but I've got to say he could most likely still tear it up in MLS if he wants to come sell merch and do Hollywood type things. I wouldn't mind seeing it although probably not with the Fire as I think the Fire have more pressing needs.

In the mighty Bosnia-Herzegovina v. San Marino match this morning, 139 year old Edin Dzeko scored to give the 70th ranked nation a 1-0 victory over the 210th ranked country.

In other World Cup Qualifying action, England were held scoreless by Andorra (ranked 173rd) for 50 minutes.
Despite being filled with stars from the EPL (which must really suck), England could only manage a single goal.

Harry Kane scored the match winner.

Fortunately, I did not remember the match started at 10:00 a.m. (as I was watching the San Marino match), so I was able to watch this pathetic training exercise on fast speed.

    Stats for those of you who care about such things;
I probably do not have say which team is which:
    Possession: 83-17
    Shots: 20-4
    Shots on goal: 10-0
Touches inside the box (no, not in a "dirty way"): 48-5
    Corners: 12-0
    Saves: 0-9

Absolutely embarrassing. Well, not as embarrassing as it would have been if England had not scored and won the match, but still embarrassing.
