Liverpool gives up a phantom penalty (which was saved, but there was a rebound that the penalty taker scored, so I guess that counts as a "real" goal), but comes back to win away to bottom of the table Southampton. Liverpool 3, Southampton 2. Liverpool have opened a sizable lead in the EPL (which sucks).
I like Cuypers, but man it would be nice to have picked up Reus...too?! Hope we add 3 like Puig, Pec & Reus...
Champions League Round 5, Day 2 Red Star Belgrade destroyed Stuttgart 5-1. Katai was on the bench. Strum Graz beat Girona 1-0 Aston Villa v. Juventes Bologna v. Lille Celtic v. Club Brugge Dinamo Zabgreg v Borussia Dortmund Liverpool v. Real Madrid in the "marquee" match of the day Monaco v. Benfica PSV (******** Ajax, for @pena pirata) v. Shakhtar Donetsk
Europa League, or whatever it is called now. Manchester United come from behind to squeak by Bodø/Glimt 3-2, despite having 72% of the percentage and had 20 shots to the 6 of Bodø/Glimt. Bodø/Glimt scored two excellent goals. Real Sociedad wins 2-0 against Ajax (******** Ajax, for some reason).
DISGUSTING! A day to forget for Wolves, but a place in football's record books for Bournemouth's Justin Kluivert, who became the first man in the Premier League era to score a hat-trick of penalties. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/live/c2e79z9wem3t What a loser! Scoring a hat trick of penalties! The ultimate in "padding is stats." It just shows that the EPL, does, indeed, suck.
Also in the EPL (which sucks), in the Crystal Palace v. Newcastle match, Daniel Munoz misses a sitter that would have made Robert Beric blush. He does redeem himself with a very late tying goal.
USWNT v. England from Wembley. 0-0 heading into the second half of this friendly between the World Number 1 and Number 2. Lindsey Horan has a goal called back for being very, very offsides.
I can stream the MLS Eastern Conference Final, or channel surf 4 NCAAFB games, the IHSA 8A Championship Game, and a Liga MX quarterfinal return leg. Until streaming works as quick & easy as channel surfing I will never give up linear cable. I also ave a better than average chance in avoiding landing on a sales pitch. Gig 'Em Aggies
In the Marquee match up of the day in the EPL (which sucks), Liverpool continue Manchester City's well-deserved misery, leading at halftime. This was supposed to be the battle between 1 and 2 in the league, but it is currently between 1 and 5.
Nope, not needed. Man City have looked absolutely toothless the past few weeks. Heaping more misery of them is what every team should strive for now.
Brutal for Puig Midfielder @RiquiPuig has sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee. Puig sustained the injury in the second half of the match, continuing to play over thirty minutes despite his injury, and providing the game-winning assist on Dejan Joveljić’s 85th… pic.twitter.com/roTZASvPZ3— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) December 2, 2024
I’m pretty sure this is the moment it happened. I mean this has to be the moment. . . pic.twitter.com/fUXrvP7MHq— 𝐇 ⟡ (@hdottydot) December 2, 2024 LA should annihilate any star player on Seattle any time they play until Puig is back on the field.

I could not give a single crap about any of the other team in the tournament. I hope Real Madrid, Chelsea, PSG and, especially, Manchester City (cheating bastards) all fail miserably.
Awful game. America was a step slow all night & Cruz Azul couldn't punish them. The two teams go at it again Sunday night in front of Cruz Azul supporters at the same venue they share while Estadio Azteca undergoes renovations. San Luis takes a 2-1 lead to Monterrey in the other semi-final series tonight.
