Ndicka stretchered off the field after collapsing and grabbing his chest. He gave a thumbs up while being taken off but they look like they might not restart. Twelve years to the day of the death of Morosini of a heart attack on the field. Very scary stuff.
Bayer Leverkusen - Werder Bremen. Now that's how to celebrate a clubs first top-league championship! Good German order settling things after a premature pitch invasion!
Liverpool lost...at Home?!? Boo! Losing to Crystal Palace?!? Come on! Arsenal lost...at Home?!? Yeah! Well, they did lose to Aston Villa (the fourth place team). Man City is now in first?!? Boo! 2 points separate teams 1-3 with 6 matches to go?!? Yeah! The EPL Sucks?!? Oh, yes, it does!!!
Remarkable match in Jersey. Fire II are down 4-0 just before the half on 4 goals from bull turd first teamer Roald Mitchell. But 2 Osorio penalties in first half stoppage time close the gap. Early in the second half Mitchell suffers a non-contact injury and has to come off. Bull turds add another, but Fire II score the next 3 only to lose the PK shootout. Osorio with a hat trick of PKs and Shokalook off the bench with a goal and an assist.
That was a great match to watch! Down 4-0 but no give-up. Lots of end-to- end action. Totally different play from Fire I. They just worked their tails off. Last 10 minutes of match, there were two players on the grass at every stoppage. Skills may not be as good but definitely better attitude and more fun to watch. At 40 min, they could have put it in cruise for rest of match but they didn’t. Watch it!
Champions League Quarterfinals Real Madrid v. Man City For the first (and, hopefully, last time) in my life: Go Real Madrid! Half time Madrid up 1-0 and up 4-3 on aggregate. In the other match, 0-0 between Bayern and Arsenal (2-2 on aggregate) Halt time report Micah Richards Jamie Carragher Thierry Henry Three incomprehensible guys at the table with Kate Abdo. I still cannot figure out what language Micah Richards speaks. It certainly is is not English. Can't watch the show.
With West Ham and Liverpool out, Italy and Germany get the extra qualification spots for the Champions League. England started with the most teams across all three tournaments with eight and has only one team (Aston Villa UECL) left. France and Spain each with two teams left (Marseille/Benefica in extra time) but one will drop down to one soon. Germany really stuffing the top tournaments with successful teams this time around. Kudos. Details for anyone interested: https://www.football365.com/news/la...-fifth-place-in-next-seasons-champions-league EDIT: The EPL Sucks.
I'm back after a LONG hiatus. Can't believe this thread is still going. Uh I've been watching EPL recaps on YouTube for giggles. Also signed myself up on AppleTV÷ and added MLS. Watched our game against the pink cows and... Yeah same Fire, different year. No sense of urgency when up a man.
We tried to keep it active. Hopefully, we have done it injustice for you! Sadly, the Fire STILL suuuuuuuck!
Forums are a dying breed. Unfortunately. Everything is Discord or Reddit, horrible way of discussing anything (format-wise)
Welcome back!!! Hope you're doing OK. This thread, like this forum, and well . . . us are like cockroaches and can survive anything. We're having fun dunking on the sucky EPL this season. I wish we had a better local team to follow, but we received our personalized jerseys & a scarf yesterday as House STH so we have that to look forward to. A.R. Smith is a baller. Reddit sucks format wise, but the discussions on the Men In Red Discord are good.
Cockroaches "ain't got nothin'" on the Tardigrade aka the "water bear." These handsome little bastards have been found living in hot springs and at the top of the highest mountains. They can be shot into space with no oxygen, subject to temperatures at near "Absolute" Zero, survive boiling, pressure greater than the bottom of the ocean, survive 5,000 gys of gamma ray radiation, and go without food or water for decades. They even practice parthenogenesis (reproduction without sex, boring, but useful). If there is a symbol of the current state of the last surviving Chicago Fire fans, here it is...especially the parthenogenesis (sadly).
Mal Swanson with a goal and an assist as the Red Stars hold off a late Reign rally for a 2-1 win in Seattle. Tatumn Milazzo with another save of the week worthy goal line clearance. The Red Stars move to 10 points and stand 3rd in the table after 5 games.
