Everton crapping in Citeh's punch bowl. C'mon Everton, fill that punch bowl up to the brim!

It won't be pretty. Every duel will be a wrestling match.

Everton with a 3rd, but Haaland comes right back and makes it 3-2, 84th minute.

Doku ties it with the last kick of the game. Five goals in the last 22+ minutes. Farmer league defending.

Too bad, but two points lost for City is always a good thing, even if it helps Arsenal.

It would be terrific if the Arse failed.

I don't want them to fail in the EPL (which sucks), though.
As odious as Arsenal are, they are not nearly as gross as Manchester City.

  9. They're back at it again in Munich! It took less than 3 minutes.

Missed the first half due to work. Damn

  11. The fact only one goal was scored didn't mean they weren't trying, or defenders figured it out. The attacks don't look as sharp except for Kvaratskhelia.

  12. Kaner ties the match up at 90+4'. Bayern need one more in 2 minutes to force extra time.

it didn't happen. PSG to the coronation.

Insanity in the EPL (which sucks)

    West Ham v. Arsenal.

A goal by Arsenal in the 82nd minute.

West Ham tied it up on the 95th minute from a corner (even West Ham's goalie was up there).

A long (7 minute) revealed a very minor "foul" on the Arsenal goalkeeper, a player had his arm across the keeper's chest.

It is likely this sends West Ham down. Almost certainly.

It quite likely hands Arsenal the title, as well.

Since the headline of this thread changed the Fire have sucked. Maybe we shouldn’t have tempted fate.

West Ham should feel very hard done by.

With all the disagreement, including between former teammates / now pundits, what's clear is that the referee's decision should have stood...in my not so humble opinion, there was no "clear and obvious error", no matter which way the initial call went (Trosser's tackling technique would earn praise by an NFL linebacker coach).

Given how many goalkeeper muggings Arsenal have gotten away with this season, it's even more aggravating.

In happier news, a Villa win in the Europa League final and a final day win away to Forest could well see Bournemouth in next year's Champions League. If I'm dreaming, please don't wake me.

Per the BBC this morning, there were "five fouls" committed, but both sides, on that single corner kick. Agreed there was no "clear and obvious" error.
There were likely three penalties on Arsenal for grabbing and holding players in the box.

I do think this goes to a larger problem in the sport.
The "gamesmanship" on free kicks, corners. etc. has really become out of hand.

Much like "diving" a decade or two ago, this has escalated to the point that something has be be done.

Also, like the idiocy of the "delayed offsides" rule (if the player is offsides, call it and stop the play), if there is a foul, call it immediately.

Could not agree more, especially with respect to the offside call delay. Inevitably, a player is going to blow a hamstring chasing after a "dead" ball...assuming it hasn't happened already?

I still say it’s gambling. Sports betting is effectively forcing VAR to make “perfect” calls so the bookies aren’t caught with their pants down.

I would agree, but it does not appear as if VAR is making "perfect" calls all of the time.
While it may make "perfect calls" on something like offsides, the VAR people are still quite fallible.

We have witnessed that in matches on many occasions (not that anybody bets on Chicago Fire matches.
