No, the article is saying that they are staying "Martin Stadium" for a while.
They submitted a permit to play at Ryan Stadium next season. THAT was denied, not to play at Martin.

With our season now in progress, we are turning our full attention to delivering an exceptional inaugural season at Martin Stadium in Evanston while continuing to connect with the community through additional conversations, town halls, and civic engagement,” the statement from the Stars said.

Lol - I read that twice, when it was published, and again today before posting it, and didn’t realize there are two different places in Evanston they could play it. I just interpreted it as them being ‘one-and-done’ in Evanston. Shows what I know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Martin is a tiny stadium right on Lake Michigan. A semi-pro women's rugby team also play there.

Ryan is the renamed (and currently being rebuilt) Dyche Stadium where Northwestern Football team play.

  6. Was that Polish fans whistling at the Albanian national anthem? Sure sounded like it.

I am in a virtual teaching conference and have Poland v. Albania on one screen (sound off) with the conference on the other two.
    That works!

  8. The attack has been promising, but Poland is too sloppy in their own end.

Watching Ireland up 2-1, while waiting for Lewandowski to score on the next TV over.

Yes, but sadly Euro powerhouse Gibraltar could not match their "historic" 2018 (almost 8 years to do the date) match against Latvia by losing to Latvia.
Their 3/25/18 match was a "resounding" 1-0 victory over the Latvians, Gibs second ever victory.

Boring game…and then a poor sloppy mistake by Poland gives Albania the chance to take the lead…and they converted.

Maybe now the game will open up

  13. And Poland concede the first goal on a criminally poor touch off Bednarik.

  14. And the defender from the sucky Premier League has been the suckiest of a sucky defense. The Polish defense looks like they never played together before, at least not with a soccer ball. I'm rooting for Big Bob to get a last hurrah at the World Cup, but there's work to do.

Poland had been parking the bus in a 5-4-1, with no clear path to generating scoring opportunities, and will now need to come out in the second half with new tactics.

  16. Brazil lucky to be down by only one. They won't be grouped this summer, but they may have to back into the knockout round as a 3rd place team. Don Carlo has A LOT of work to do.

  17. Albania is outworking the Poles. It's embarrassing, or should be.

And Poland are being incredibly sloppy in offense.

  19. At least there are chances, though it should be 2-0.

You just cannot give a player that much time from 20 meters out.
Well, I guess the Albanians can!

Day two of my conference is over.
I can move to the big tv in the living room to watch the last 15 minutes.

  23. You can give him that much room, but it probably won't turn out well.

Well, Zielinski did not Gaston Gimenez it, at least.

Meanwhile, Wales just gave up a late goal to Bosnia. Heading to extra time.
