I've given Bruce his fair shake, he's made some questionable decisions (mostly personel)in the past but i stuck with him, but now I think its time to go. Get rid of him and get ride of him now, so we have time to regroup before qualifying starts. These results against Haiti (did we stop trying to win, Mulrooney for Donovan, Califf for Pope?), Denmark, even our lackluster showing against Holland are unacceptable.

Games aside my biggest issue with Bruce is personel decisions. Wolyneic should not see a national team jersey for at least another several years if ever. Kirovski, Razov, Vanney, Berhalter should have had their last international games over a year ago. Why keep these guys around? What about some of the great young talent in the MLS:

    Mullan
    Buddle
    Martino
    TNT
    Suarez
    Jaqua
    Gbandi
    Dunivant
    Curtin
    J. Walker
    Onyewu (YA)

Just one man's opinion though. Feel free disagree...

As metro fan i could'nt agree with you anymore, Wolyniec?????? Bruce must be paying Bradley back for giving Bruce's son a roster spot? I can't see any other reason

Well people like you who are happy watching non-entertaining futbol and an under-achieving national team make me sick!

Thank god US Soccer doesn't have enough sense to get this on TV, the 50 people who sit in the stadium wouldn't even come than.

    P - A - T - H - E - T - I - C

Any other nation and people would be fired. Arena & the retards at US Soccer included.

You are whining about a friendly that doesn't matter?? Why?? If this was next year maybe I would get it, but, really?? He's testing newbies out tonight, so what? I'd like to see the US win every game they play, but...

am I the only one who got the memo that says this match was NOT a qualifier or a World Cup match?

He's still analyzing players, and you can bet for damn sure he learned a lot tonight.

He's not an idiot. He's not Steve Sampson.

Since I've been more or less on Bruce's side for years, it's sad to say that I've been moving in this direction. Those who read my "a young man's game" thread probably got that feeling, although it was premature.for me to say so here, and I didn't want to jump the gun. I don't think Arena should be fired, due to all he has accomplished for this team in the past six years. But I've reached the point where I seriously, seriously question whether or not his interests and the interests of the nationalteam program are no longer compatible. I think it may be time for him to consider a letter of resignation.

We have now gone at least threee games without a goal. That's inexcusable. That would have been inexcusable for the pre-1994 team. And we're trotting out John Wolyniec to try to break the streak. I like Wolyniec in a way, would gladly take him as a sub on my MLS team, but he is the exact type of hustle-over-skill player that we no longer have room for. The greatest evidence against Bruce's personnel decisions since the World Cup, and this is as succinct as the argument gets -- John Wolyniec and Brian Ching have more combined minutes than Edson Buddle and Conor Casey. That sums up the problem in a nutshell. You can print that out and put it in your pocket. And you could substitute Jovan Kirovski's name in there if you wish.

Bruce did a great job over the 1999-2002 cycle. He will always have that. And he has a lot of virtues as a coach. If he does depart, it would not sour me on his past accomplishments in the least, and I would love to have him as the coach of my Dallas Burn. But any honest evaluation of our performance since the world cup -- looking at the Confeds Cup last year, our 3rd place in the Gold Cup, our 4-0 drubbing in Mexico, our uninspired play against the Dutch -- is that we have underperformed while hiding in a defensive shell far too often. This has got to stop. With or without Bruce, this has got to stop.

You're right. Arena and US soccer underachieved on the biggest sports stage in the world, the World Cup.

This guy really has no idea what he's doing. You know that Sanneh was nothing before Arena, don't you? He sure was nothing in the World Cup.

    I don't even know why I bother.

OK, apparently we equalized in injury time. It was just nearly three games and not three games. Yeah.

Said like a true GRINGO. You think Sanneh is a good futbol player?

    Keep smoking drugs.

He is Arena's pet like Kirovski, Lewis, Berhalter and other non-deserving crap national team players that he refuses to let go.

I don't understand why not try more young talented players??? in a friendly
