I am not talking about skill, purely as an athlete there is no way you can look at him and say "great athletic gifts, that's gonna translate". I feel like the average football player has gotten more and more lighter overall, I did a comparison across World Cup data since that was the most available, and overall since the 90s players have gotten taller overall while losing, or staying on the same weight. So the trend is to go with height on every position, even the smaller position players are over 1,80m nowadays. The focus is on being explosive and the change of direction, which explains a lot of those injuries by the way.
Club just posted a terrific team Christmas photo. Carlo's missing but the "new guy" gets in it, what a great vibe.
Endrick reached a top speed of 36.5 Km while in Brazil. That's Fede, Davies level acceleration. As long as he doesn't go overweight, change of pace will be an asset in his career along with his shot power. 1698667049633923351 is not a valid tweet id Physically, he is a marvel with a very strong acceleration and running speed that reaches 36.5 km/h at his age. Few players reach that top speed. He is very explosive. https://thehardtackle.com/reactions/palmeiras-director-compares-endrick-to-cristiano-ronaldo/
He’s clearly looked like he’s gained weight since coming from Brazil. We haven’t seen that pace yet. It would be good for him to get some minutes but the last presser with Carlo says otherwise.
He doesn't need to get minutes on the field to drop a couple of lbs. The treadmill should be ok. Jokes aside it seems like Carlo is alluding towards Endrick having issues adapting, which is natural. You guy with barely any experience in a Completely new place with nobody around him.
I wasn’t asking for minutes to drop the weight. It was more of an observation about his pace and why he seemed slow. I just think playing him situationally when we can for 10 min or so would be good, but like Carlo alludes to, he can’t trust him to understand situations to kill a game off like we needed to against Atalanta. Since we’re stuck with him, we need to develop him to get something out of him.
Raul Asencio from Castilla. Probably needed time off to get into shape and find his best form, possibly vacationing in Sweden or grabbing some donuts and coffee with Hazard. Although he does seem like the type if this were "optional" and he wasn't going to get paid for his "time" then it was easy to decide on taking a hard pass.
Arda is starting his 4th game in 7 today after being blanked for large parts of the 2nd half of the season last year. Whatever issues Endrick has, it would ideally be the coaching staff's responsibility to help him fix it but I don't think anyone should be losing sleep over if he plays or not at this point in his Real Madrid season.
This is the type of behaviour I expect from a Turkish club run by Jose Mourinho. Where has our class gone?
Dude, this has been our messaging for a year straight or so. Real Madrid TV has been a meme across Spain, they recently did a pre match review and didn't speak about either of the teams at all, it was just 20 minutes about the referee and the linesmen. People were posting stuff like the Madrid analytics department tracks running data for the linesman and his speed and accuracy at raising the flag.
Besides that it would've been an extremely dubious penalty, there's zero guarantee the penalty kick gets converted. Absurd headline, some people need to get their heads screwed back on straight.
Yes. An extremely dubious penalty. Really would have almost been like the first of its kind had the referee blown the whistle for something like this. 1868256014170300875 is not a valid tweet id
This is a weird one, I was watching the highlights today and it’s Jude and the Rayo player who seem to simultaneously kick Vini. Both definitely kick him but the timing looks tricky to separate. No idea what the rules say about this situation, if anything. If the Rayo player kicks him then surely it’s a pen.
I agree, why we should be silent? What this have to do with the class? Is it the from if i hit you in one cheek you turn the other one for me to hit? Total bullshit, we need to expose all these mistakes, if we don't , those corrupt bastards just gonna abuse our " classy" silence.
It's only debated because it was Madrid. Had that been Rayo there would be an outpouring of criticism and people here would support it.
Yea. VAR didn't intervene either so nothing wrong in questioning such errors even when technological help is there now for the refs team.
Skipping the madrid tweets that always show these sorts of plays in the worst way possible: 1. The ball was behind Vini's right asscheek, 2. Because of that, what advantage was gained by the defender/lost by Vini? I dont have a thought either way, as to whether or not it was/was not a Pk, but I am surprised that VAR didn't intervene.
