Ceballos is the definition of empty calories. Truly a player that looks like he's a great player but rarely does anything productive on the field. That was his issue at Arsenal as well.
He is doing the dirty work and providing balance to the team. His passing range has been good the games he played as well. His glaring flaw is still there, in some occasions in dangerous areas he keeps the ball too long and allows the opposition an opportunity to steal the ball where you are never meant to lose it. So far none of our other midfield options have committed to playing the defensive role he has provided. He has done so well, it has allowed Camavinga and Valverde the freedom to take part in the offense.
He hasn't found a home anywhere. He's simply not making mistakes, and that's just not good enough at the level. Really a career backup.
He's in form, while our starters are very out of form or injured. He can play until our other starters get our of their funk.
He's successfully mediocre I guess. I'd rather gamble on somebody that can actually walk into the field with the potential to do something that actually moves the needle.
Ancelotti: "If Raúl Asencio surprised me? Yes, he surprised me, his maturity, he's never worried, always very sure of himself. He's completely part of our team now, and he totally deserves it." "Tchouaméni? He feels very good and he's ready to start. You will see tomorrow where he will play." "Mbappé leaving his penalty to Bellingham? He was not a coward, we evaluate this gesture very highly. He has been very generous. "Tchouameni's position? The important thing is he's back. He's a very, very important player for us. He gives us height on set-pieces and this is very important after Militão's injury." "Jude Bellingham? Our improved dynamic is allowing him score more goals but he was already very good, complete." "Fran García or Ferland Mendy? Just technical decisions. We won 2 Champions League thanks to Mendy, total faith in him. Fran García feels very good, he's taking advantage of the opportunity I'm giving him these games." "Mbappé leaving his penalty against Getafe can be seen as a sign of insecurity, but we see it as a sign of responsibility and altruism. We value the altruism of a talent like Mbappé very much."
Mbappe did very smart to leave the penalty kick to someone else. At the Bernabeu, with his situation, and after the miss vs Liverpool, could be very bad if he had missed it. His decision was more then correct
🚨 Regarding the RB spot, Ancelotti sees Loren Aguado as the academy player best suited to helping the first team. @Rodra10_97 pic.twitter.com/0dwOLkOJdj— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) December 3, 2024 🚨 Squad for Athletic!Tchouameni is back. pic.twitter.com/Nf19UdFn4s— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) December 3, 2024 Lorenzo Aguado is 22 with Castilla experience. So not surprised he's ahead of the likes of Fortea for Ancelotti. Not to be confused with 17 year old CB/LB Diego Aguado who was in the squad list against Leganes. Gonzalo gets a call up after his scoring run with Castilla.
Bro Mendy's mediocrity smacks you in the face no matter which way you look at it or what statistical parameters you consider.
Amazon to air documentary about Real Madrid’s 2023-24 Champions League win A documentary about Real Madrid’s Champions League triumph in the 2023-24 season will be released on Amazon Prime in the near future. Sources briefed on the matter, speaking anonymously to protect relationships, have confirmed to The Athletic that the documentary will be announced in the next few days and then air shortly after. The documentary will feature interviews with some of the key figures involved in Madrid’s Champions League success. The Amazon documentary will follow a similar format to the Until the End Apple TV+ series, which documented Madrid’s La Liga and Champions League double in that 2021-22 campaign. This Madrid documentary will be produced by Wakai, which made the Apple TV+ show and an Amazon series charting Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois’ return from an anterior cruciate ligament injury last year.
Unfortunately those documentaries are so incredibly edited and going through so many sign off processes that you're seeing a hollywood impression of what actually happened, along with there being just too many of them.
🚨 JUST IN: Real Madrid have hired Itziar González de Arriba, Dani Carvajal’s nutritionist. She’s a specialist in Physiogenomics and injury prevention. @relevo pic.twitter.com/pJkSD0jTtE— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) December 4, 2024
You’re trolling. Dani’s injury record has taken a completelyyyy dramatic turn for the better in the last 2 years or so, barring the freak ACL injury.
Most Chances created for Real Madrid this season (Liga + Champions): • 41 - Vinicius• 34 - Luka Modrić • 27 - Rodrygo• 22 - Kylian Mbappé Most Big Chances created for Real Madrid this season (Liga + Champions): • 11 - Luka Modrić • 9 - Vinicius • 5 - Arda Güler… pic.twitter.com/nK2qTpOm6H— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) December 5, 2024 This is concerning. Our starting midfielders nowhere to be seen.
Bellingham has been putting more work in defending, Fede and Tchoumeni are absolutely useless in attack right now. Cama has been injured but like Jude, having to put in the defensive shift when he’s played.
