It's true; Carlo is clueless when it comes to rotation, resting, and substitutions. It's like he thinks FM24 is real life.
Don't exaggerate, if this were FM24 he'd go on vacations and let Davide take care of the games, or he'd do a bit of save-scumming here and there.
Cute, people finding out that most players are playing through seasons on pain killers and cortisone injections. "A Kick On Pills," a cross-border study carried out by German public broadcaster ARD and the investigative research center Correctiv, found that over half of footballers questioned in an unrepresentative survey used painkillers several times throughout a season, and that more than 40% took them for non-therapeutic reasons. "I have noticed in the past 14 years that ibuprofen is handed out like smarties," said former Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic, who currently plays for Union Berlin. "For every little thing, they give you ibuprofen as standard." Subotic spoke of the pressure that clubs are under as result of the money at stake in the game. That pressure, he said, filters down to the coaches, to the doctors and to the players. "In football, you always get these typical macho comments which make players feel guilty about not being able to play through the pain or through an injury," he said. "In the end, it's the player who is under the most pressure. He can't play unless he takes painkillers."
The Athletic has also written about that subject. The fact is that this is a rotten industry and we're all complicit by supporting it the way we do by watching and talking about it.
1857890619118563416 is not a valid tweet id The women team also lost today 4-0 at home in the Classico. This is not good to our club. The Basketball team also facing bad season especially in Europe
I am also guessing a lot of players get a significant part of their total compensation as appearance fees, or at least, being available for selection. So if you’re technically not eligible due to injury, it could be a financial pain too - could help explain why players choose to play more. But that is fully speculative on my part.
I've been to multiple women's champions league games. Unfortunately the draw didn't fall favorable for me because I'd love to see our girls live. As others said, Barcelona are far ahead of us, they had a huge headstart. We're still beginning in this. Barca's basketball team stinks as well. I've seen them lose in person this season.
Can you share with us how many RM basketball games and women soccer games have you watched that you also cry about this?
None. He sees silly little graphics on twitter and it triggers him. Personally, I couldn't care less about women's football for couple of reasons.
Me too, focussing on our men's football team, in my spare right now, couldn't care less about the women's football or Basketball.
He should take his time there's really little reason to actually play him if we can get sub par performances and inadequate cover from younger players who may actually improve. This is brilliant. Flo strikes again. So instead of actually bringing in viable defensive reinforcements, we label our player returning from a serious injury after more than a year long absence from playing with doubts as to if they will ever fully recover as the "new signing." Who would have guessed? This man, always with the surprises and never the same trick twice.
There is some sampling bias because Fran plays against weaker sides but this is honestly pretty damning, and they're both not even close to being world-class.
Ahhhh more charts and stats and things, i'll defend the garbage guy, Ferland has helped this team to win 3 La Liga titles, 2 CL's, a Copa after many years and all the other titles no one seems to care about, i for one am extremely happy with that, without a doubt a successful time in the clubs' history, i'm trying to think of the magical LB's out there who have propelled their teams to more with their progressive play, and if the claim will be we did it despite him being on the pitch well maybe we should have just played with 10 and see how that worked out. That'a a pretty good haul by any "fans" standards and that's apparently without being "world class", i see the chart says 365 days, to my recollection the "team" won the league and the CL in that time, a successful period of time for the players, not sure what individual awards they all won in that time, maybe a progressive pass award? Marcelo really left a mark, it's like Pep and coaching, if your team doesn't play like Pep's team you're playing garbage anti football, even if you win No matter the charts and the stats none of his contributions to a successful team can be taken away from him
Defend him all you want, he has been a complete non-factor in our team for a while and I do not care what you think. Even in our biggest wins this season he has been a passenger. As far as I'm concerned he has one last chance and it's against Liverpool.
Oh shut it. He's been all-round sh!t for a while. In the past, some of his defensive prowess overweighted his non-existent attacking capabilities and inherent immunity towards forward balls and crossing but now he's lost all basic defending skills. One thing he's still good at is that signature ear-to-ear smile when he loses a challenge, goes full clown and knows he royally fvcked up.
