The point being that Pintus and his team are not assessing players like they should be doing.

It's them that communicate with the doctors and medical staff, then define a plan and report with the coach.

    A player
doesn't just turn up and say yeah I'm good.

But as long as he's got players looking like Bane then all good.

No chance Madrid's injuries are just poor luck. Look at Barca guys - we have a much more physically demanding system, much more injury prone players who are nowhere near adapted to this intensity yet so far we're relatively ok with injuries. Bernal and Ter Stegen, both were unlucky and can't really claim anything other than that. Bernal with an unexperienced tackle and Ter Stegen is a GK. Because of the improved medical staff.

Medical staff at Madrid needs to be carefully looked at imo. 3 injuries in a span of 40 minutes is crazy.

If you read between the lines all these quotes and such seem to indicate the problem is with one player who is either in the way or not in the way enough depending on whether the team is in possession or defending but either way the problem has been Mbappe.

His presence on the offense as seen today has had the effect of disrupting the chemistry and movements of Vini and Jude, who a year ago and absent Mbappe were proven world beaters.

Then on defense his unwillingness to part with a single fnck has a carryover effect on the whole team, basically forcing them to play a man down.

Brahim did come on though, no?

I was stating names of relevant players that could have come on for Rodrygo aside from Brahim who did participate.

Something really not right with physical training and institutions like madrid the assessment should have start much before and pintus need to change the methods to ensure injury do not recur

If rodiger is injured we are with out any CB it time to get back Ramos, another CB on loan and a RB

    Disagree.

Positioning, pressing and sharpness were among some of our core problem issues. Carlo improved on this slightly.

Up until the 30th, our compactness was an issue as well. There was too much space between our lines. A common theme throughout the season.

Carlo went into the game with a double pivot of Fede and Cama with Bellingham in front of them, not a big success. Then he switched to Cama as a lone #8 with Fede and Bellingham in front of him, that wasn't much better. Then he opted for Fede as #8 with Bellingham on the left and Cama on the right. That made the midfield tick, eliminated space between the midfield and attack and created a forward momentum credit to the coach for his fast response. But Vasquez got injured and Fede moved to RB; luckily we ended the half 2-0 up and the game was done.

We have tactical flaws. Carlo's fanboys deny it. But when he addresses (or begins to address) the sh!t he was called up on for months by "pricks" like myself and the team therefore does markedly better, you get the "You see haters, Carlo fixed it! Masterclass from the Mister".

The Strawberries of this forum give Carlo credit (which he deserves) for fixing issues that they had denied/minimized.

Then we wonder why our players get ACLs and serious injuries. Ridiculous.

Wonder what's up with Jacobo. Three muscle injuries already this season.

I'm confused. How are we fitting in that many games in little over a month?

As always worth stats, you need context.
Take out th 7 or 8 he got in yhe barca match alone, and he is line with others at the top.
You cannot compare with VJ done one is supposed to lead the line and the other is coming from deep as a winger.

I had completely forgotten we have one match yet to play. Need to bring that gap to 3 points as soon as possible. Injuries will make this transition season even harder. I just don't want us out of the race by the middle of the season. Title is still unlikely, imo.

Vinicius rarely beats his man on a horizontal line, he always plays the ball behind him. He wasn't even in the top 30 of players offside last season.

Just as a FYI... Mendy can play right back. He's done it at Lyon and even for France. He can't do any worse offensively lol and still a rock on defense. Just an option that I hope Carlo considers.

Theo Hernandez is also looking for a transfer out of Milan. Buy him and use him as the left wingback + ask Mendy to stay back (which he should anyhow). Will make Vini's side unstoppable.

Nacho being very honest in Marca. I like it.

It will also make the right side’s attack pretty much dead.

The January list isn't much better.

I saw earlier that if we play every game for every competition, we'll be playing a game every 3 days until the March int break.
