I swear if the board does not want to buy someone during January given the situation, its like they want us to fail.

We need a CB and a RB at least.

They really need to stop giving us that crap "there is no quality on the market" oh shut the ******** up.

We need players that can do a job like Joselu.

It's totally crazy policy. Prove you can win without basically one true CF or RB in the squad.

Prove you can without Mbappe, okay. Here's Mbappe now fire someone, change systems and win again without a RB.

Okay. Here's a new RB. change whatever you did to win without the RB and win again.

Maybe the best option is to play with 3 defenders and pack the midfield.

We had posters suggest this even before the start of the season. Mendy has played as part of the 3, and looked even better than he plays LB.

It's the perfect excuse now that Carvajal is down for the season. It's worth trying out considering the squad set up.

I hope so. He's magic so he'll cure everybody just but appearing out of a cloud of purple smoke.

    Like a 343?

    Militao-Rudiger-Mendy
    Valverde-Tchou-Cama-Jude
    Rodrygo-Mbappe-Bini

Don’t think Carlo ever played like that, did he? And I doubt he’ll start right now. Most likely he’ll just stick Lucas there and see if he can do the job.

I don't see this as a squad that's particularly open for experimentation.

Most of the veteran players that could dictate this are gone. It's on Ancelloti if he wants to experiment.

It's about tactical depth, I think we have a lot of very athletic and individually skilled players but few that are truly variable.

Lol at Jude as a wide player in a 3-4-3.

It's hard for English player to see another English player succeed at Spain, while they are fighting for scraps the EPL.
funny thing that FA player of the year he is English man and he isn't even in the top 3.

JFD says club informed Raul that Arbeloa will be promoted as Castilla coach from 2025-26 season.

Raul should have taken the Villareal gig last year. He stayed on in case Carlo got sacked and he would be promoted, in his theory. Does this give entitlement vibes a la his playing days or am I reaching?

I have nothing to back this up (stats wise), but feels like attackers usually make for lesser managers whilst midfielders/defenders usually are better at the job.

The award is about performance for the national team. So Bellingham's performance in Madrid does not count for the award. As for Foden, he did not show up in the biggest stage. But Palmer was basically a bench player for them. So it is weird.

Raul absolutely thinks or at one point thought he had a shortcut to the RM job. Not only has Arbeloa shown more promise as a manager but Xabi has absolutely blown him out of the water when it comes to the next RM manager race.

If he still decides to stay in the Real Madrid set up next season, imo it shows he isn't serious about his managing career.

Just think of the players active right now and tell me who you feel is more capable of leading a team.

Happy Arbeloa taking over, it's time to give someone else a shot at that position, and he's won before

Had the same feeling for years.

Cruijff, Beckenbauer, Del Bosque, Ancelotti, Guardiola, Zidane have all been Midfielders and Orchestrators of the game some how.

Hitzfield and Heynckes are examples of great managers as former strikers.
