I wonder how many times he's felt like he's surrounded by idiots in football.

That’s his greatness speaking. He was and will never be cocky. That doesn’t mean he can’t see what millions are witnessing - a drastic fall in midfield quality in his absence.

I also see the difference in personality. Ronaldo gave an interview dunking on the club when we lost against Barca and he was at Juve, Kroos gave an interview in support of the club and the team.

Yeah but we can't play with 12.

We could fit Kroos into the team because we didn't play with a striker and used a midfielder as a withdrawn CF.

We added a striker, in what world do we fit Kroos in that without having to give up someone else?

People just need to embrace the transition instead of bellyaching about the past. The irony is that in that same past people were still bellyaching and complaining anyways.

It's always better tomorrow.... People can't even enjoy today

Hey guys, I'll be traveling to Madrid on the 18th of this month, and I am planning to watch the RM vs. Dortmund game. It will be my first time at the Bernabéu. Can someone please tell me where to get the tickets? I have tried the official RM website, but according to them, I can only get the ticket on the 14th.

I truly believe Florentino willing to Sacrifice season with no titles what’s or ever in the sake of ‘Economics Stability’. He always said Madrid can’t win every year. But eventually we are the fans and want to celebrate

I imagine fans also need to be realistic, there was a time this team struggled mightily, back then you would have probably lost your mind more than you do now when we actually win,

I'm pretty sure though that we've read this "sacrificing the season for the sake of economic stability" narrative on here before, just last season for sure ( no worthy 9 for starters), right before we won the league and the CL,

He only supported when we started winning. He’s not all there.

If he somehow makes it into the team and we go into the summer considering him a first choice option and drop out of the TAA transfer, some posters are going to lose their sh1t.

I mean we would have to drop the narrative about why Klopp is the ideal managerial candidate because he could get the best out or our "star" right back.

I don't know if the stats back this up, but I get the sense that we are losing a lot more balls in midfield than we were before (which is natural due to Kroos' absence). The likes of Jude, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Valverde, and even Modric are now having to attempt either line-breaking or flank-switching passes that are just out of their comfort zone, and it is showing because they are intercepted more often than not.

This is an issue because we remain exposed on the counter and lose whatever momentum or pressure we had built up against tightly packed defences. Against Villarreal it felt like Valverde had clearly been working on his long passing and switched flanks much more often to good effect; however I think we are still far from where we should be, in a position that has had 15 years of great passers in Alonso and then Kroos.

I really hope we get a conductor next summer because Camavinga and Tchouameni double-pivot is just not it.

Well that would be a very odd contradiction as the wisdom on here seemed to be Toni was old and not "press resistant" whatever that meant , and all those named guys were "press resistant".

I don't know, i actually think Fede is very good at it for both club and country, we didn't see much of it from him before because it wasn't required of him with Toni here, but he's always done it for country IMO

I don't know, Valverde could become that guy for us.
His passing is the most accurate it's ever been and he's attempting more long passes.

    Damn....hope it's not serious....
We're getting major punishment for our squad planning in terms of the defense...
Going to need a RB and a CB at least on loan this winter....

Nacho should still be around. He would probably play the most minutes of his career this season.
