That's still better than saying you have Klopp wrapped up and coming up with freaking BORDALAS afterwards. Imagine that hahaha
I hope it ends up this way. I'd hate to spend $150mm on a single player when we can improve many positions with that amount.
What kind of positions can you improve with that kind of money and for which player? Club spent that amount on Huijsen, Carreras and Mastanuono last year.
This is all so corny and embarrassing. One thing Perez needs to understand, especially in the modern world, is that an entire generation can quickly change what they think of a club. He needs to get our reputation back on track or there is going to be an entire generation growing up looking at the likes of Barcelona and PSG being the top, trendy clubs of Europe and not Real Madrid (similar to Manchester United).
Carreras and Huijsen still have plenty to give to this team. Mastantuono for $60mm when Cherki left for $35mm is a huge mistake. I don't care which player comes, but we need a central defender, a center mid, a right winger, and a real 9 if Gonzalo leaves. I would hate to spend $150mm on one profile only and keep playing players out of their positions to compensate for not filling the gaps.
For what it's worth, multiple Bundesliga teams turned down the Cherki deal due to "character concerns" - after speaking to the player personally, not saying I know, just what I've been hearing locally. Feel like City felt like for them it was like buying a pack of bubblegum at the price and worth the risk.

They'd both sign a Jose when it's all said and done. Jose Mourinho for one Jose Bordalas for the other.
AS also talking about Pepe in Mourinho's staff. 🚨💣 THE RETURN OF PEPE: WATCH OUT! @RubenMartinAS pic.twitter.com/IiHfoOggyM— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) June 7, 2026
Fantastic move. Pepe is a leader and a voice in the dressing room with a big personality and trophies to back it up
He also completely lost his mind and almost killed a man on the field, the moment he comes back and Rüdiger does something out of his mind it reflects badly on the organization.
He paid his dues for that. Can't just carry on looking back at what people did. Other players have done worse
It really doesn't matter, does it? Some things never go away, and even above that incident I would like the club to consider what matters in terms of being qualified for a specific position, not being a big bad wolf to scare the players. If that's what it takes just hire a bouncer.
How about sending the conclusive evidence to the authorities and the prosecution instead of the UEFA?
Jose has hired many coaches not qualified for the position in coaching though. They are there as his mouthpiece sometimes, especially ex players of said club.
I guess we'll see but I'm not a fan. Need somebody to be the brain behind the machine like Villas Boas used to be at Chelsea. I guess we'll have to wait and see the entire staff.
Pepe got psychiatric help and was non controversial in the last decade of his career. He's like a Ron Artest figure in football. Rudiger's antics are getting worse with age at least in public.
