Riquelme getting 30-40% could be alarming for Perez.

If he was more intelligent especially in handling the Haaland and Klopp situations, hammered on Perez's poor domestic record and presented a more concrete and realistic sporting project, he would have been a real challenger.

60-40 win for Perez will really mean a defeat for him .....next season will be decicive for him,if neither the league or the chapions league are won he is gone ......he will be voted out or simply resign

the funny thing is Mbappe will have to save his head and Mbappe fans be prepared if your boy fail again and cost the job of the greatest president in history

i said it many times Mbappe will destroy Perez legacy and will end his presidency, next season is decicive

A warning shot to Perez. Do better or you’ll be losing the next elections. Maybe a wake up call to start putting things right.

A 5% sale doesnt constitute a majority vote, but it's substantial enough to decide referendums that are decided marginally.

Florentino dressed it like "an investment with no swaying power nor returns expected". I highly doubt that. Nobody is putting up 5% of a 10 billion dollar (roughly 500 million euros) valuation as a "commercial partnership". Florentino is cappin fo sho. I'm surprised Socios aren't reading between the lines and questioning it more.

Socios will get €100-150k. I suspect many don't give half a sh!t about the club if they're getting paid.

5% is the irreversible start. Socios can sell their stakes and this is how you end up being controlled by a single group/entity in 5-10 years.

No he won't. It is Perez until his death. That was the entire purpose of these early elections together with introducing the ownership model after winning..

    As expected.

He loses but tries to make this out as some kind of win and to murky the process as if there was a theft.

The next step is already in play with the absolute moronic idea that get 64% of a democratic vote is some kind of failure or loss and not something that shows the democratic process is legitimate and not just some authoritarian process dressed as an election.

Anyways, not that the actual circus is over and the clown(s) have been defeated we can get back to building a better squad.

    Probably 65% to 35%.

Perez overestimated his pull and popularity. I didn't think Riquelme would get 15% when he first announced his candidacy. Not bad for someone who had a weak platform with no concrete ideas and had to get a campaign set up in 15 days..

I wouldn't hold by breath on that "150 million galactico" promise from Perez that he is supposedly going to bid on Tuesday. He didn't promise he would get a player, he promised he would bid for one. That doesn't mean anything. He'll make a token bid, get rejected and then move on.
