Jose will tow the company line. Full stop. He will pick back up with the war against Barca/Refs/League. Thats why he’s back.

I’m hoping he’s got the juice for one more run, and I think with the right support from Flo he could. The odds are less favorable this time.

Do you mean Tibo is very naturally the worst of the four to pick as a Captain?

Dude cries way too much in the media/press to be a good captain and for me personally I fell like having a GK as Captain is not ideal on the field either because he can't really leave his area to go talk to the ref when there is something to dispute and there are rules being implemented to prevent anyone but the Captain from approaching the refs..

So in closing Tibo as Captain = BAD

odds are against us - but this is what makes this such a fun fight. thankfully, this barca (and other competitors) are nowhere near as good as the opponents we had back in 2010

I hope Mou makes it work somehow... Not just for our sakes, but for his own too. It's a cruel thing he never won the CL with us in his first spell.

Hope he proves me, and numerous others wrong...

Frankly, I want him to win back to back LaLigas with a CDR slotted somewhere. We have enough UCLs and have celebrated those plenty. Domestic domination would make me happy.

It would be fitting for him to win a CL with us. 3 CLs with 3 different teams in 3 different leagues.

So Mourinho gets Fenerbache knocked out by Benfica to then join the latter. He then got Benfica knocked out by Real Madrid, to then join Real Madrid.

For him maybe. But for the club, I prefer Liga dominance.

It's always fun to read things we posted over 13 yrs ago and reflect. Crazy that we're getting a Mourinho return.

That sounded like a heavily influenced take due to the infighting of 2012-13 tbh. Pep's Barca most likely would have won 4 La Ligas in a row if we hadn't got Mou who was Top 2 coach at the time.

2011-12 league title with 100 points leapfrogging Pep's Barca was so hard to achieve.

He did leave under a cloud and dysfunction though, we gotta be honest about that.

Locked up a journalist to threaten him with physical violence in order to reveal his sources. One would argue if he does this now he's in a courtroom with how more buttoned up everything is.

Oh I fully expect a lotta fires to be lit by Mourinho next season. Vini and Mbappe will definitely clash with him. It's gonna be a soap opera.

I think those two will benefit the most from him.

To elaborate a bit more, i think Mou's style is not as reliant on zonal marking and man marking as many other coaches, so players like Vini and Mbappe will benefit from a very direct path to what they do, you could even say the team is built more like a Mourinho style team, which is a compliment or a bit of a knock depending on what you'd like to see out of them.

It will most definitely going to be a return to a counterattacking style of play.

You make me feel older than I'm now. It's crazy the amount of time we're spending to follow this team.

To be honest this is the last thing we need, however I think Mou has matured somewhat over the years.

Lets hope he keeps it a bit more classy, though seeing what the club and the players do, I doubt it.

As classy as defending a racist and victim blaming a player for dancing after scoring?

    Highly doubt that.

Endrick getting loaned to Lyon only did him good. I hope Real loan Franco out to another club as well so he can get playing time and improve.

Idk if Mourinho fixes that, but have at it. At this point he can only do as poorly as Arbeloa.

We have almost have almost always been a counter-attacking team when successful recently.

Xabi tried shifting to a possession oriented style, and the players hated it.

I think we had a quite a lot of the ball while Kroos was still with us, the problem has always been our inability to break down a low block. This is mostly because we don’t have a damn striker. We should fix that before we abandon possession altogether. But if we persist with Vini-Mbappe up top then yes, counter attack makes the most sense.
